Ever worked for a company that was sold?

My company was bought about a year ago. I work field support in arguably the most successful district in the country, so my job was secure, but since the new parent company took over we've mostly just dealt with changes to "back office" type stuff -- time reporting, expense reporting, fleet vehicle management, inventory management -- as well as changes in benefits provider. Day to day stuff hasn't really changed

Not really any changes. After Mitt Romney fired me (which i did not find out until the election), we all lost our jobs and received paltry severance pay because we were part time and nobody except manager was full time

The "out of business sale" was interesting. we jacked the prices up on everything and then sold them at a "discount"...

Worked for IT consulting company before an bigger IT company bought it. Management started cutting jobs and other stuff to make our financials look better. We could not even hire people when our client paid for each person we staffed there because we were in a "hiring freeze". When we were acquired, the new company cut our salary and laid off a lot of our folks. Same hiring freeze BS continued even though we got new leadership. I left about 1 year later.

All going OOB 'sales' are like that. My uncle made bank as a liquidator for several years.
