WoW = Fun
EQ2 = Work
not in the least. both have their grind, and I'd argue WoW's is more repeating and dull.
I have 3 lvl 60s in WoW and the end game is poop. Only reason I stopped playing EQ2 was because my server was so abandoned there was not much you could do. The community is what ruins WoW and lack of it in EQ2 causes problems as well. WoW misses a lot of the "epic feel' that you had with itemization in EQ1 (played since alpha).
wow didn't really start to feel repetitive until i hit 60.
e2 started to feel repetitive at like lvl 15
That is probably because it took the same amount of time for both of them

EVE is decent, but the quest system is weak and getting around can take ages. I have an active account, but I only play it once a week or so. The weird thing is that although everyone is on the same server, you very rarely meet people outside of the corp channels.

Hehe you know... eve is a 100% PvP driven game. There are no quests in EVE in the sense. There are repetetive naval skirmishes that build up faction and standing and help you get into position for research agents. In two weeks you can play nearly ever mission an NPC agent will every give you. And use that for an income source if you so choose or like improving your setups and tactics. ( like running an instance over in WoW to get disenchant goods or your movements in combat down )
As said by the DEVs... its 100% pvp. Even solo play adds to pvp since that is one person taking resource from one person to another or withholding resources. And... don't know where you hang out but in empire space I can't shake people from chit chatting on my carebear account. And in 0.0... I can't go anywhere without having to shake off gank squads.
I would pack your bags and head to a more populated system m8. My corp can point you into the right direction. If you are interested in a nice bunch of folks '17 - 55 yo' and abundance of conversation if check out www.archonindustries.com and hit up Lady Zirconia our Public Relations and Recruiter. You won't regret it if you like the game itself.

You do have a very valid point. I'm enjoying it right now because I'm doing nothing but kill missions, but I'm starting to see how it will get old really fast. I still have 1 more week left on my free 14-day account, but I'm not really sure if I want to continue playing. I guess it hooked me initially, but I'm starting to realize the "real" game. That, and it isn't too much fun playing by yourself.
Damn, I thought I had a really good find here too, but I can see it will end up like all other MMO's I've played: Play for a few months doing the same thing over and over again, get bored, uninstall, and find some other MMO to play.

Not if you find a corporation like the one I am in or one that might suite you more. Its not like wow... its not a bunch of kiddie guilds. It is definately not a solo game and never, ever claimed to be. If you get into a good corp... you will be hooked for years. That is a fact, if you like the game and you like the people... you'll be just as sad as me.
