I hate it... I used to play on Cazic-Thule (35 paladin halfelf, 34 druid halfling), but it got so boring... day after day sitting in the same spot, same room, hitting "A" once every 5 minutes, watching my character swing and randomly hitting "1" or "2" inbetween... the game is too monotonous and doesn't have any gameplay to it .

I used to play on Rodcet. I had a loaded 35 warrior. I sold him on egay for 380. My bro sold his old 30ish monk for around 400.

Man, the thing I HATED worst was that the friends I was making online soon became acquaintances...Because NOBODY played as much as I did and in NO TIME I was WELL AHEAD of them in levels.

My addiction to that game was COMPLETE!

Jesus I have a friend who has been into it since it first came out, and hes got 3 lvl 50 chars on Rathe. All he does all day and night is play EQ. Hes 18, no job, no college, just EQ. Hes a psychopathic, eq addicted hermit. At least hes getting rich off selling items. I was into EQ for a while, the highest I ever got was lvl 25. Got kinda bored of it.

I recommend deleted it and installing Counterstrike.... theres some crack for ya!

edit: Skoob.... I was in UO since beta and that is still my favorite game of all time. Before they butchered it like you said. I use to love running around outside town near Covetous pking everyone I could. The joy of filling my bag up with armor and weapons until I was overweight, then recalling to my smithy was too overwhelming for words.

My son is really addicted to the game as well. His school work has really started to suffer. I took EQ away from him for a while until his grades improve. He through a fit! You'd think I took crack away from a crack addict! He's 14.

No way I'd allow my son to play EQ. No friggen way. Keep in mind dad, that 10 hours a week is no where NEAR enough time with EQ. This isn't a game like any other, EQ needs 8-10 hours DAILY. Take it from me, a struggling addict, you hate every moment you aren't inside the machine slaying evil beasties alongside your virtual "friends".

People can become obsessed with anything. The time I spend playing Everquest replaced the time I used to waste in front of the TV. I have been playing since beta 4 and still have a lot of fun.

I quit when I could not gain a level playing 3 hours a day for a week. At that point, the game lost its excitement and I re-prioritized my life. I have been happier ever since.

I must admit though, getting to level 27 was fun. Just boring after that.

i officially quit yesterday... saw another 55$ charge on my cc and called sony to cancel and give me a refund... curious, i asked him when was the last time i logged in... december 20 something... nice waste of money... but the only reason why i logged in was because my friend was seling his stuff... so i payed an extra 50$ to get my cut of 2000$... fair tradeoff

we sold about 10000$ worth of stuff. yes, 10,000$.
