Interesting move for the “grandmother”-in-law to go public with this. Now, in all likelihood, she’s gotten permission from the mother to be and is going public on the kids’ terms rather than allow some news outlet to out them. Hopefully that also means she’s looking to protect them and be their designated media contact to help deflect any questions.
HOWEVER…her going public also pre-empts any decision around keeping the baby on behalf of the mother and mother’s family.
Yeah .... Boebert apparently dropped out of HS to have a baby, didn’t get her GED until she was in her 30’s and look where the voters of Colorado put her. Roasting Boebert and other Republicans on their hypocrisy on this is one thing, but their positions on sex-ed, premarital sex are fake, and all of them know it.
What it seems they actually want is an electorate having babies as young as possible, locking themselves out of education and opportunities, and the buy product of this is they keep themselves in a permanently precarious financial situation so that they’ll never feel empowered to demand better for themselves or their country. It's possible (but doubtful) as an individual human being, Boebert isn’t thrilled about her son being in this position. But as a Republican standard-bearer of the forced-parenting movement, Boebert is proud. I suspect she’d be quite happy with there being a whole lot of teen parents out there due to her campaign against sex ed. “Barefoot and pregnant”. Someone who’s a parent at 16 or 17 is far less likely to be attending some "liberal brainwashing university". She’ll probably be praised for this, and maybe even be elevated for it, and that’s what she cares about most.
