So I was washing my hands tonight when I noticed a wet spot on my shirt. I'm trying to figure out why its there and I notice this little spray of water coming out of the neck of my kitchen faucet. Upon further inspection I found several other little holes.

Anybody ever seen anything like this before?

This happened with a 20+ year old kitchen faucet in my parents' house. It just got old and wore out.

Decroded, that's for sure.

edit: in the mean time, before you replace it you could take off the aerator at the end of the faucet. This should reduce the pressure enough to make it stop spraying you.

Not really... But you should just get some epoxy and drench that baby in it

Hopefully my apartment management agrees. They're not the most helpful people.

I bet there's a 50% chance they'll come out, say its not that bad, then try to charge me for calling them out for no reason.

Unscrew the aerator and look for debris on the screen / grate. Brush it off with something like an old toothbrush, then put it back on the faucet.

See if you can find a brand name on it, many faucet makers have a lifetime warranty and will send you free parts, or just buy them yourself.
My one handled bathroom faucet has been leaking from the stem into the handle. It's a ball valve, so no washers to go bad. Today I took it apart and found the ball so badly corroded it couldn't make tight contact with the inlets. It cost me six bucks at the Depot for a new one:

Looks like someone tried to give that faucet stem a good shanking. Do you play with samurai swords by any chance?

You should probably just replace it yourself.

We'll see. I already emailed them. If nothing happens, I'll fix it myself.

Wait, are you asking if it's normal for water to shoot out of tiny holes in the neck of your faucet and onto your shirt?
