An NSX would be up there. Even after 15+ years, they still sell for 50% of sticker price.

A few contenders:

1. 1997 Acura Integra Type R - I can hear the guffaws now, but to me this is still the best handling FWD production car ever made and accomplished with no electronic trickeration.

2. S2000 - These are already up there, 20 years from now most of them will still be on the road.

3. Already classics 300ZX, Supra, RX-7 The only thing that knocks these down a little is that it's hard to find them in stock form, especially Supra's, most of the TT's have been purchased and modded like crazy. Maybe I'm wrong but those Fast and Furious stickers and ridiculous paint jobs on some of the Supra's I see aren't doing them any favors in this regard.

4. Acura NSX - yeah already a classic to some, I wouldn't mind owning one, they still look teh sex to me even the older models with popup headlights.

Thankfully my TT is not modded at all and the only things I desire to do to it are nothing that would affect its collectability. (chip reprogram and new Haldex) She's a very pretty black on black 2000.

I plan on restoring a 2nd gen RX7 in the future when I have a little more money lying around. I love rx7s, I wish I could have a garage with 4-5 different models. I owned a 91 when I was in college.

wow. most of you all want early 90s front wheel drive crap? i would love to own a dmc-12 ( delorian motor works) because they are really rare and have a lot of neat design ideas. a tucker because it was a revolution in car safety. a 1966 or 67 El Camino because i love the body style. the NXS is a neat car. i would rather get ahold of an old le mans prototype class car for my sporty ride though. also would love to own a corvette ZR-1. I also love the 87 Monty Carlo. my dad has a black aerocoupe. also already in the stable is a 72' super cheyenne shortbox w/ fac. BB, Air. a 71' chevelle SS factory BB, air, rare original color ( burnt orange) and an 04' corvette. The truck and chevelle are both #1 restorations done by my father and I. if i could not have the cars, i would collect and rebuild rare or special engines for people. i love working on them.

Oh yeah. The rebirth of the American rear wheel drive four door muscle car... which unfortunately failed to sell well. Mercury tried the same thing a few years later with the Marauder, with similar results.

I have a '72 Chevelle with a 454 big block in it. Currently under a 5 year resto and not sure when its going to be done. Only dream car not purchased up to this point something completely impractical as a people mover... Lambo Diablo maybe a Porsche 959 dual turbo or actually a small v8 Chevelle vert.

2000 Porsche 911 GT2 --> this one might be a little more difficult to acquire, financially.

Because the 993 GT2 was only made up to 1998, and the 996 GT2 started production in 2001?

My bad...I thought the 996 Turbo and 996 GT2 both started production in 2000.

Make it a silver 996 GT2 for me, year unimportant.

I hope 10 yrs from now my bone-stock lo-mi 04 STi will be considered in the same league as RX7s, 350Z, Supras of now. Must resist the temptation to mod...

My Grandfather's got a '69 fastback, royal maroon. Original interior, engine, owned it for like 30 years, drives it one day a month.

Needless to say I'm waiting for him to die (i love him, but honestly can you blame me?)

Here it is while he was having some health problems a while back

It's a bit dusty but the paint has a great gloss to it, a car like that should never be allowed to gather that much dust.

Pics of the challenger??

You know... I had some pictures of it online somewhere - no idea where now. I'll see what I can dig up. Not much to see though, it needs a lot of work (to be kind).
