My job sucks. I'm sorry, but it's a lady's job (admin assistant), and very few of my skills are being used. Surprisingly though, I really like the pressure of it when people start throwing a bunch of shit at me, and expect it done quickly. Everything is simply, yet monotonous, but there is so much variety that it doesn't get old.

Here, here. At first I thought I stumbled upon a topic I started while I was drunk and don't remember.

The lights at the end of my tunnel are that I'm back in school, am working on becoming self-employed, and have a good chunk of cash saved up that I can fall back on if I get canned because I care so little about my performance.

Edit: Prof, what do you do, and how old are you?

No kidding. I went to the mission here locally to help with resumes and online applications, and there are those that were formerly making 80-50-40-30-20K that would be thankful just to land a job. It was strange to help with resumes for some of the people that previously made more than myself but I was glad to do it. I got to meet some very nice dynamic and humbled people looking for work. Even if it's a tiny cubicle.

I'm on a co-op term right now. My job isn't awesome, but it's not bad either.

Also, "everyone hate their jobs" is a lot different from what you meant to say --> "everyone hates their job".

I can't imagine showing up every day for much of anything else.
