IMO, religion has no place in modern times. It was a good form of control in the past, but I believe that the people can do without it, now.
Yeah, because worshipping at the altar of Marx is SOOO much more intelligent:roll:
Never said it was. In all honesty, I'm not agnostic, but whatever.

So where else do you get your idea that the sole purpose of religion is control? Because that's just as naive as thinking that US is the Great Satan whose sole purpose is to trample over the Middle East. It may be true of some individuals, but it's laughably off-base with most.

With time comes passing of belief from parents and instructors alike. Some people are born into religion with a false belief. Faith has its limits and I'm sure we can agree; a lot of people follow blindly and without personal reason.

And I won't watch it. Anything that imposes a belief, tries to convince someone of something is not worth the time. I'll make up my own mind,

Having a false belief implies that that there is one "right" belief. Additionally since you seem to be able to identify what is false, that too would imply that you know what the "right" one is. That is arrogant and ignorant.
Furthermore faith does not necessarily have limits, simply because that would defeat the purpose of having faith. A lot of people do follow various religions blindly without reason, but that is irrelevant and fallacious because people follow are sorts of crazy stuff without personal reason.
Your inability to understand religion and purpose of religion should not be a reason to vilify it.

I don't know if a God exists, because I have had no experiences to show such an existence. Why would I believe in something that can't be proven?
If God himself comes down from the heavens and has dinner with me, then I'll believe. Until then I'll put faith in hold.

I'm pretty much an agnostic. One thing that gives me pause is the consideration of how I would react if God or Jesus Christ himself came amongst us and started performing crazy miracles.
One thought that might go through my head is "What if this is a member of a race of extraterrestrials who is using highly advanced technology to exploit what they believe to be our greatest weakness?". That sounds implausible but to many agnostics and atheists Jesus all the sudden descending from heaven and curing the ill, turning the empire state building to gold, making pigs fly, etc. is equally implausible. Thus I cannot imagine a situation in which I don't have reasonable doubt...even if it is really our god here performing miracles in front of my very eyes.
Everyone should be .......Human
