Almost all of the bad decisions/things my sister has done in her life is when she was drunk. My grandmother and grandpa are alcoholics, and she's heading down that path too..yet she can't seem to let up because it's the only way she knows to have fun now. I don't know the last time she actually went out with friends without drinking; and it's that way for a lot of late teenagers/early twenties people. It's ridiculous.

interestingly enough, the united states used to have some of the most respected beers in the world... till prohibition came, that is (history channel ftw).

Before Prohibition, Budweiser made a decent Lager, that's about it. What they produce now certainly pales to their original brew, but that original brew is a peon compared to many of the excellent beers made in this country today. Not to mention the world-renowned wines produced in Napa and Sonoma.
