Good post man,
I like using Optimum Nutrition's 100% Gold Whey Standard, it's cheaper and also does a good job as a protein supplement. What do you think about it? I only take 2 scoops after a work out (sometimes add some sweetened soya beverage in with water with protein) since I usually will eat big meals in a day. But to get big one has to get get some fat and mass, I'm thinking of cutting down later, for now everything seems to be okay.
What I kinda dislike is how many people that kinda get into bodybuilding since it's 'cool' or to 'look good' will only work on their upper bodies and totally disregard their legs or thighs, I personally started focusing on every body part, particularly the legs since I always wanted to run and have had big legs since I was a teen. But with strong thighs and legs one really can lift a lot and sqaut more, it's just funny to me when almiost 90 percent of the guys working out in a gym (not professionals) will always do upper body and have weak lower bodies.
To have big legs and thighs is a very good thing for the body imo.
Soya as in from soy beans? Soy or anything made from soy is not healthy for men, it increases estrogen levels.

I picked up some ON Double-chocolate Whey yesterday, but I have a question on how often I need to use the stuff.
I know it was recommended earlier in this thread to have about 3 shakes per day, but I was wondering if I only have a shake after working out, is there still a benefit? Or do I have to have it more often than that?
Thanks for the help!

There is no magic number. What matters are your total calories for the day, and total grams of protein for the day. Most aim for 1-1.5g protein/lb bodyweight as a general guideline. How much of that comes from protein shakes is entirely up to you. I've seen people who get all of their protein from supplements, and I've also seen people who get all of it from whole food, and don't use any.

Wait, so we are talking about close to 200g of protein per day!!?! :Q
I do not think I get anywhere near that, so it seems I should be having a couple of shakes a day minimum. I've been eating more, so I think my calorie intake is at a more reasonable level, but I will definitely need to up my protein intake as well.
It just seems strange to me to drink the shakes on rest/cardio days.

Stop thinking of protein powder as some type of "magic substance", and start looking at it as just another source of food.
Your body grows when you are resting, not when you are working out. It is important that you get adequate food, protein, etc. on your days off.

It is fine to use it. Just make sure you have your diet spot on and you are exercising right, and Lipo 6 will work.

on the lipo 6 jar it says not to take it with caffeine or creatine, but you say it is possible, then assuming i take creatine twice a day, and coffee about once or twice a day, when would it be appropriate to take lipo 6 and how many times a day. Before or after a workout.
Thanks
