I hear this card gets hot too. Anyone know in comparison which is hotter, this or the 4850s?

Other than that this is a hottt deal, next lowest price on pricegrabber is in the 430s!

I am running a pair of 4850's in one system and a gx2 in the other.

The 4850's run hotter by a long shot. Until you turn on the AA the performance is close where the 4850's seem to have an edge. You really can not beat this in a single slot.

I paid double that price for an MSI version a few months ago.

Anyone know of a power supply that can handle this? In addition, is a 8pin to 6pin suitable to run this? My current PS has enough 6pins but no 8pin connectors. I've searched on Newegg and there doesn't seem to be many power supplies (cheaply) that has the 8pin. Thanks in advance.

Yes you need 1 6+2 and 1 6. They sell adapters to make 2 6-pin an 8 pin, and 2X4 into a 6, but they arent recomended.

Thanks Ocguy31. I went to Frys and bought a 750Watt PS for $99. Sales people keep wanting to sell me regular power supplies claiming the 12V 8pin for the CPU would work. Problem is my MB won't work without the installed and if installed I don't have anymore 8pin Funny. I may have to pick up the Earthwatts though because it's cheaper.

Be careful with the rebate on this one. I don't know if it's not setup properly in their system or perhaps the person processing mine totally messed it up but mine was entered in for $20 and they claimed invalid UPC. I called in and provided the UPC and they got rid of the rejection message and they did confirm that it should be for $30. Their website was then updated to remove the rejection reason but amount stayed at $20. Called in again and they said they would have to escalate this for review and it should take a week for someone to review it.

Howabout a Corsair 750w with four 8 pins for $98 minus $20 MIR as of 8-16-08?

Edit: Now this is weird. That link shows out of stock with Firefox, but with IE it shows 13 in stock. Never heard of a browser making a difference in what's for sale at a retailer.
