NOT the same product! Feel free to start your own deal thread though.

Edit: My deal is for a 5000DPI Laser mouse, yours is for a 4000DPI Optical.

Torq X3L, versus just Torq X3.

Laser mice are shit compared to optical mice. More jitter, acceleration issue, etc.

eh, they are pretty much the same, unless you have been playing FPS for 20 years.

Anyways, got mine this morning, just plugged it in. Just using it for web browsing so far. It's a bit bigger (longer) than my Logitech MK320 mouse that came with a keyboard set. Like more than an inch longer. Not sure if I'll get used to that or not. I guess this EVGA X3L is better if you have big hands. (I do, somewhat, but I'm not really sure I like really big mice.)

Each side of the mouse has both forward + back buttons (left and right side). Basically ambidextrous layout, but the cable comes out on the front left side, not the center.

Lights up in five colors, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Orange. No option to turn the LED lighting off. (Would have thought that would have been an option.)

DPI switching on the fly, using the center button below the scroll wheel. A sequence of red horizontal LEDs light up, to show you what DPI setting you're on.

5000 DPI is way, way, too much, for a 1080P Windows 7 desktop on default Windows' mouse acceleration settings. I pretty-much keep it at the lowest DPI, although I could crank it up one notch and still have it be usable for desktop usage.

I have yet to try it in a game. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Altogether, seems like a decent purchase. If nothing else, my spares will make nice Christmas gifts.

I'm thinking of picking up one or more of these too. Does anyone know if the TORQ X3 lights up with colored LEDs, like the X3L model does? None of the Newegg pictures shows the top parts lit up, nor does the box shot say anything about lighting up.

According to this page, the X3 (non-L) model only lights up RED.

Also, says that Angle Snapping is configurable, but NOT on the X3. Unsure about the X3L, since it doesn't mention that mouse at all on that page. Kind of weird.

I got mine on Wednesday, and my only gripe is that the slick finish makes my hand sweat a ton while playing BF4. Plays smooth, and I cannot say it is too far off, if at all, from my G502 Proteus Core, or the Razer Deathadder. The EVGA Torx software is easy to use, and highly customizable. I kind of like the mouse, and for the price, *well* worth it.

I've been using it to browse the web on my Q9300 so far today, and I'm really starting to like it. There was a little fatigue initially, as I learned to grip the longer mouse, but that seems to have gone away. Still haven't fired up Skyrim to test it in-game yet, but that will come.

I think I might order a few more.

Edit: I really like the OMRON switches. According to EVGA's page on these mice that I linked above, the X3 model's switches are only rated for 10million cycles, whereas the switches on the X5 are rated for 20million cycles.
