Yeah if the rebate is invalid, I would think microcenter would just refund that ammount of money. Wouldnt they? It was a clear rebate they said was valid, if its not, I would think they would still honor it. I mean, I dont have a local store near me, so its not like I could go there.

I thought id point out, that for AGP people who couldnt get on this deal.

monarchcomputer.com has the same card but agp version for $148 with a $20 rebate. So $128 with free shipping.

Zipzoomfly.com has the same card for $139 with a $15 rebate. So $124 with free 2nd day shipping.

I ordered about an hour after the deal was posted. 9/7/05 at around 2pm (pst). And my order says nothing about being shipped.

That is a little weird. Maybe they just flip a coin to see who's order gets shipped out next?? I ordered mine on 9/7 at 5:13 and still no ship date.

Mine also shipped, but I'm nervous about the rebate still. I am going to call again and see if I can get any sort of comfirmation from either rebateshq or microcenter on it.

Answered my question about 30 seconds after I posted this.

If you look up the rebate code now, it has been adjusted for the extension of the rebate.

Rebateshq.com -> get your rebate -> Rebate #05-32291

Valid 8/1-10/2 purchase date, postmarked thru 11-2. So all looks well. Too bad I got impatient and bought another card since I thought this wasn't going to work out. I should have bought an SLI mobo at this point

Mine has also shipped. I ordered the evening of the 7th and got the backorder e-mail. It seems that they are fulfilling orders somewhat haphazardly. Oh well, mine should be here today. If the rebate comes through, a 6600 gt for 70 and change shipped is smoking!

Now I just have to find a decent pci-e motherboard. The more I save, the more I spend.

Wow, I didn't know this was before rebate. I had a chance to order one but declined b/c at the time I didn't feel I needed one. And I thought the 6600GT (AGP) I just picked up for $91 was a good deal...

thats a link to the rebate in case anyone still needs it. If they cancel your rebate for any reason call 1-866-206-8800 and they will fix it for you. Also, make sure to send them the original UPC, rebate form, and receipt...but make copies just in case.
