i live right next to the tustin microcenter, so i gave them a call and they said if i ordered one for in-store pickup they would have to cancel the order since they are out of stock. someone said they would have a shipment friday, so should i wait and place an order online then or just go to the store and buy it there(no idea if in store price is same as online price)? and if i get two, can i redeem both rebates with one address or would i need two different addresses? thanks for any info.

I believe nVidia recently announced that in the next driver update they would include different models to be SLI'd together. So any 2 6600GTs "should" work in SLI.

I think in-store pickup is listed as one of the "shipping" options.

Does anyone have any experience on the turnaround for MicroCenter's backorders (or any information on this specific backorder)? I suppose as long as they get it to me by the end of the rebate period I'm fine, but I have gathered parts for a new build, and would like to actually get it up and running! I just put my order in this evening

this is a clearance item (mine had about 6 orange stickers on it from markdowns.)..the likelyhood of getting this deal online is very low... I got to the Micro Center locally and grabbed the last 2 they had... and the salesman there said he had received over 10 calls in the last hour...but he said it was first come, first served with no holds on clearance.

The best bet is to go into your local MicroCenter, give them the sku and ask them to search for it in your area...this item will be on some sort of clearance table, and not in the section where the other video cards are...

Hot damn... if I didn't jump on the X800XT PE refurbed deal, I would definitely jump on a 6600GT SLI setup for a full system upgrade. Either way... UBER-HOTNESS on this deal
