now i need to know what to do with this impulse buy.

currently running an x700pro. i'm pretty sure i will get an improvement in framerates. hopefully this card runs BF2 without me looking for certain driver that runs the game.
will retire my x700pro for htpc.

Just called Microcenter ... new stock is coming in soon ... but the store price is $178 before $45 rebate. Not even warm. I think the web deal was a mistake. Doubt anyone got in on it.

ordered one last evening. got a confirmation email this morning.
didn't get a cancellation email (yet) - going to pick up the card tonight after work

If it works, I'll officially nominate Microcenter as my fav store (well perhaps 2nd fav - 1st is Fry's Rental) - snatched a 9800 NP during last BF, got 4x of 5dB antennas recently (they were OOS but they gave me a raincheck) Didn't even make a peep when I paid for all 4 of them separately

Placed my order for instore pickup last night.

Received my confirmation this morning and then promptly received another email indicating my store did not have it in stock and that my order was cancelled. They stated I could re-order it for delivery but I won't bother trying. Deal is probably dead.

I ordered one and they told me over the phone it was on back order and they will be getting more in the next few weeks so it will arive a little later than I orginaly thought. I asked her "What if the rebate expires before I get it?" and her reply was "We would cover the $45, thats not a problem cause we would send EVGA the rebate and tell them what happend".

As long as I get my card for $114.17 shipped Im happy, if I get another $45 back on top of that I will be happier.

i went to pick up mine today and they told me it was canceled. needless to say they didnt send me the cancelation email till after i left the store. maybe they stashed it. since i think i saw the same card in their ad for $175 with rebate or something.

My phone conversations with them have been positive. I ordered mine quite early, and i still haven't gotten a cancellation email. THe gentleman I spoke with on the phoen told me that it wouldn't be a problem when I got it, since they invoice the day you purchased it, and just mention hte day it was shipped - said rebate would still be valid. From the jist of it, we did a pretty good job of swamping them. He told me there were approximately 600 of these cards on order, but couldn't tell me what place in line I was. As long as they fill it sometime...I've got a brand new build waiting for this card...can't even start itu p as I don't have another pci_e card...drat

man i think i see a pattern, to bad i didnt see it sooner. If i didnt go and pick up my card, it would never be cancelled and i would probably get a in-stock email once the new shipment arrives. since they had no idea that they were out of stock until i went to pick up my card, in which they then processed my cancellation email on the spot.

I think I was the only one who got this deal..and it was because I called the stores and found some locally...drove wayyyyy over the speed limit and picked them up. When I called the store, they had three left, by the time I got there two remained, and when I was checking out a kid ran in that was going to buy the two in my hands... this deal was all about speed!!

Have you talked to Microcenter about the Rebate being Miss-Printed? (rejected)

Did rebate hq or Rebates hq send u an email? , should we contact them?

I would like to talk to someone about this while my order is still in the Backorder stage.

Should I cancel?
$125 after tax and shipping is still good, but not hot anymore,
probably be better off putting that towards a 7800 model, me thinks.

earlier in this thread someone said Micro-center will cover the rebate??

I wonder how that will or wil not work?
