good deal if your only buying one, otherwise the chumbo deal is a bit better since it comes with a 530 watt psu for 30 bucks more.

Holy crap that's a nice deal - compared to the usual price gouging - even if it is OEM (what exactly is different with an OEM video card anyway?).

Very tempting to pick up one of these for a future A64 system build I'll be doing. VERY tempting.

Yeah, it's very impressive. As long as it comes with a warranty, which it looks like it does, that's all that matters to me.

Thanks for the post!

OEM usually means you only get the graphic card. No cables, adapters, manuals, other papers, etc.
The card can be registered online, dunno if you get 1 year more warranty when u register or not.
Drivers download from Nvidia or from eVGA.
If you do not have the adapters then you need to buy your own. Same with cables.

I'm not threadcrapping. I'm just informing those who did not see OEM. Now if you ordered it and were expecting retail, well I just saved you from calling the manufacture/retailer.

No. OEM usually has everything retail has except the nice fancy box. It usually comes with all cables, adapters, manualls, etc. Warranty is usally shorter for OEM stuff but not always.

Whats the difference?

Acutallly there is not difference. It depends on how you say it.

Actually they're two completely different things. PCI-X is something that has been around for awhile, usually found only in high-end workstation motherboards or server motherboards. Usually reserved for SCSI controllers and gigabit ethernet cards because those can easily saturate the normal PCI bus in a server application. It has up to 4x the bandwidth of the normal PCI bus IIRC (PCI 32bit 33mhz vs PCI-X 64bit 66mhz, but could also be implemented in 64-bit 33mhz I think).

PCI-X was kind of a stop-gap measure to keep SCSI and gbitE from saturating the PCI bus. PCI-E is intended to eventually replace AGP and PCI altogether, top to bottom (high-end servers all the way to consumer-level systems). NVIDIA sometimes makes this more confusing than it needs to be, by calling their PCI-Express cards "PCX".

notice its PCI-E and most PCI-E 6800 GT's are a ton more expensive than this...

Also the site says the price has dropped to $425.00. SO 425-40= $385 shipped!!!!
