Are the stock speeds changed? What did you do to the voltage settings? Just increase what the bios allows on its own?

Yes I changed stock clocks to:

1111Mhz Base Clock
1189Mhz Boost Clock (1202MHz typical)
1950Mhz memory clock (7800 effective)

and increased power limits and voltage to 1.21v max. Full stability. EVGA released a bios fix which wasn't much a fix, as they had to stick to 1.187v max (nV Green Light). They raised board power limits though, knowing water/LN2 users would use EVBot or other software to override voltage cap. So I guess it helped them.

This BIOS is intended for stock cooler users, many of whom are frustrated trying to get stable OCs. Maybe the binning, maybe the beefed up circuitry, whatever it is, this card is choking where it should shine. It needed more juice.

I also released a bios with voltage unlocked but GPU clocks unchanged. Good for those wanting to run Precision X to control clocks and fan.

Is this compatible with nvidia reference cards? I would hate to resort to blind flashing to fix a bad flash

It could be, I'd have to pull a reference bios off TPU to know for sure. I'm sure many have jacked up a ref bios too.

I absolutely hate the way boost 2.0 works. I tried the skyn3t bios way back but I didn't really trust it. Settled on the ACX SC bios but still, I hate the way boost 2.0 fluctuates the voltage all the time and how low the 106% power limit is. I feel that adding extra volts does absolutely nothing since boost 2.0 is going to dictate what voltage it wants anyway, regardless of what I set as a desired voltage. Kboost is a terrible option too since it keeps the card clocked up all the time.

The skyn3t bios has given me 0 issues. I've had it on 2 reference cards for months now.

I may give this a try tongiht. How to flash a Nvidia card? I have flashed AMD cards before. Is there a preferred app?

I like boost 2.0 on my GHz but my card even at 1200Mhz doesn't even hit the 90% power mark on the stock bios, even 1.28v with the MSI softmod is usable under stock bios...

Which is nice I guess if you care about warranty, which I really don't but some might.

Edit: I thought classifieds came with software voltage control, up to 1.35v?

On Boost, do you not like how it adjusts clocks/voltage in ranges under advertised boost clock, over boost clock, or both? I checked vanilla bios against mine and an ACX SC bios, vanilla needs power target bumps for sure, can set base, boost, and how far boost extends beyond advertised boost clock. Would need more info on how you'd like boost to behave for that. Happy to check it out if you PM your Orig and ACX SC bios files.

The preferred method is nvflash for DOS. I linked to it in the OC thread. Hardest thing is making a bootable USB drive. I included instructions on that too. I'm liking the bios.. steady clocks, temps, fan, voltage, and gameplay smoothness. 780 Ti at 1200 is very nice. The voltage gives it very stable performance. It will boost to 1202 max, I found this to be the sweet spot with 1.21v.

I also did a bios that's voltage unlocked, decent bump to memory, and stock GPU base and boost. Good for someone wanting to run Precision X for clocks and fan. The bios above does it all and keeps max boost to a good stable 1202 with 1.21v

Give it a shot. be sure to save your orig bios using GPU-Z.
