what about these results? How can the 7900GTX do so much better with only 24 piplines compared to X19000XT 48 pipelines or more (I forget) These results show the geforce in top form and I though the new radeons ran better than the GTXs
I guess now the real question is this:
7900GTX (~530 bucks) worth the less noise but more heat?
X1900XT (~420 bucks) better graphics but runs hot?
I don't like the fact that on that bench, they used performance settings... Who the hell pays so much money for a card only to play games plagued with texture shimmering and less than great GFX? Also they're using catalyst 6.2 @ a time when 6.3 were out.
The results are also a little atypical of what most people report -- ATI winning most benchs @ HQ settings.
