Figures, now that I am ready to order, the Sapphire X1900XTX is out of stock at newegg, and everywhere else except club it, who has it for 569.

Anyone know how long it usually takes newegg to renew it's stock?

Depends on the part. Sometimes they have an ETA date listed on the page if you look close enough.

Much faster than other e-retailers since NE is some of the world's biggest e-retailers. So my advise it to check back often.

I ended up going for the 7900 GTX yesterday after finding out about the Dell deal, where the X1900s didn't have a clear price advantage anymore. The fact that it was a BFG card, which I've found carry a higher resale value on ebay than other brands, was also a contributing factor.

Unfortunately, I just discovered that the alt-tab BSODs I've been getting in two older games are not related to SLI as I had previously thought, but have something to do with the 7800 cards and/or Nvidia drivers. It's a strange problem, especially considering that my old 6800 GT had no issues with the same drivers. I wish I had known this before I ordered the card; it would have probably swayed me in favor of the X1900XT. I could probably still sell the card on ebay for a nice profit given the $390 price I got it for, although that may not be worth the effort at this point.

I think they pushed the ship date on the dell orders to something ridiculous like august. People were complaining about it. Might want to double check the ship date.

It says "on or before May 3rd" for me, which is a significant wait time but not that bad. I think it's the GTs that have the crazy three month delays.

"Seems to me you should buy an older card, like the 1800XT or 7900GT and save 200 bucks, and then upgrade in a year when they get their act together. That is all for now. Thanks again."

Running an X1800XT 512MB and loving it. Tried out a 7900GTX for a day and didn't really feel it helped my gaming experience one little bit. Also, they'll never get their act together .

CP5670, the Dell deal still gives ATI a slight price advantage. Still saved roughly $30-40 over a 7900GTX. What I really would have liked was 2x7900GT's but that was a 2 month delay. Would have cost me about $415 to $420'ish for the 7900GTX but I opted for the X1900XT at $379. That's shipped and after tax.

If I'm not happy with the noise level of the X1900XT, I can always get an aftermarket cooler and at worse, it'll be the same price as the 7900GTX for roughly the same performance in most games. Best case, I can live with the noise level and save some dollars. Either way, the Dell deal was awesome if you don't have to pay tax and it was still very good for those like me who do have to pay tax. An X1900XT is $440 shipped and this Dell deal brings it to just less than $380 shipped which is $60 cheaper than anywhere else. This also very closely aproaches the current average sale price of an aftermarket cooler and a 7900GT.
