EVGA 7950 GX2 3DMark Score

Hi guys.
I have a dell 8100 desktop i5-650 with 8gb ram.
I installed evga 7950 GX2. i ran 3DMark and got 4210 score.

When bumped up the clock to 578 and mem to 764. the score was 4362.

btw, i have xtreme-g 258.96 driver.

I'm not quite sure.. but if i remember correctly the same gpu on my older desktop scored somewhere around 6000... but i could be wrong..
If i'm right.. what's wrong with my system now...
Can any of you give me suggestion?

7950 GX2 should score about ~ 8000 points at 1280x1024 in 3dMark06.

Check to make sure that your Anti-aliasing modes are set to application preferences only or disabled. Have you tried running any games? If so, did you notice a decrease in performance from your old system?

What CPU did you have in your old system?

ya i remember it was much higher than 4000.
anti aliasing set to apps pref.

Did you try running EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner to see if both GPUs are in fact loaded when you do a 3dmark06 run? Have you tried actual videogames?

games are sluggish at best. even starcraft 2. anyways.. i just downloaded precision. how do i know if both gpu are running when i run 3dmark test?

nevermind that question. i toggled them to show on my logitech lcd. now it seems the 2nd gpu isn't working. the gpu 1 goes up to 100degrees, where as the gpu goes up to 85 degrees.
the odd thing is that both gpu usage % were at 0%.

any ideas..

Any reason why you're not using the real Nvidia official driver(s)?

i just installed the latest forceware 258.96. and did another 3dmark test. scored 4300.. I disabled multi gpu.. and tested 3300...

that's wierd. i just ran '06 on this rig (my daily driver) and got 6400+. it's and old opteron 165, running xp with 1 gig of ram, and two evga 7900 gt's in sli.
i suggest try shuting down apps that are running in the backround (Enditall has worked fine for me since the '98 days thru xp) and try it again.

Umm just one curious suggetstion why did you put a 7950GX2 in that system?
