I always need back up and test hardware for troubleshooting and repairs. Most end up in use. Have bought maybe a half dozen of the 500W version of this PSU and zero issues with any of them. This is a hot deal imo. Particularly given no rebates to mail. Ordered too, so thanks!

Good price! If I hadn't picked up three NAXN 450W and four RaidMax 735W (max) PSUs, I'd be all over this.

It goes in and out of stock. It just got back in stock which is awesome because I need a cheap PSU.

What's the difference between this and the 600B version that newegg and amazon carries?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...438014&cm_re=evga_600w-_-17-438-014-_-Product

Edit: This should power a mildly OC'd Skylake 6600K system with one graphics card right? Or should I go with one with a little more quality?

Edit: The W version on evga's site. https://www.evga.com/articles/00929/EVGA-600W-Power-Supply/

Edit 3: It looks like the B version is Bronze certified with 85% efficiency and the W is only 80 Plus at 80%.

Must've been a "Deal of the Day", it's back up to $39.99 now.
Still decent but brings it into Antec VP450 territory. I know it looks bad to compare a 450W to a 600W but I am wondering if the Antec is built better and more worth it.

The 500W version of this EVGA PSU got a good review:

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=384

That is what convinced me.
As stated, the 500W has been my go to for quite awhile now. Zero issues with any. I expect these will be the same level of quality. If not, remember to register them with EVGA and use the store return or warranty if needed. For less than $32 after tax shipped to the door, and no PITA rebates, I saw no way to go wrong here.

This review seems more negative. http://www.overclock.net/t/1500086/why-you-should-not-buy-an-evga-400-600-and-500b-600b

I ordered the PSU last night. After reading this review I tried to cancel it but it was too late. Is this PSU good enough for new mildly overclocked Skylake 6600K build or should I refuse the package?

As bugged out as you already seem to be? Refuse it. Spend more and buy a better PSU, it will be worth it simply for the peace of mind it will bring you.

I have thrown the 500W in typical mid tower builds with 3 case fans, OC 8 series FX and Devil's Canyon, The most power hungry cards I have at the moment, which are a MSI GTX 760 HAWK OC that use 2x8pin and a OC GTX970, 4x4 ram, BD, HDD, SSD, and had no stability issues under heavy extended gaming. I will test this 600 the same way.

I give only so much weight to reviews, as many I have read over the years, have not accurately reflected my experiences with the hardware. I would have missed out on a lot of great values if I bought things based on reviews alone.

I had an EVGA 500B that went wonky on me, OCing my Skylake G4400 Pentium rig, with a 7950. I replaced it with a 600B that I had laying around.

Those EVGA PSUs seem to run... rather warm / hot? At least, touching the PSU after running it for a while doing DC, it seemed almost too hot to touch. Yet, it's not blowing much air out the back. (Is my fan dead? The PSU was new.)

So, I would rather have an Antec.

I'll be using a GTX 960 2GB for at least a couple of years. I may eventually upgrade but the absolute ceiling for a graphics card for me would be $300 if that helps with a watt estimate.

The reason I am concerned is because they mentioned the ripple. My current build in my sig has a corsair 600CX and I had trouble (heat and stability) trying to overclock. I was kinda afraid it was partially the psu's fault and didn't want to repeat the mistake. Other than the overclocking I like the corsair.

You all seem pretty confident though which is reassuring. I just don't want any trouble overclocking. I also keep my computers for at least 5 years and capacitor aging is a concern.

I got mine and it is powering an old overclocked Core2Quad, three HDs, and a overclocked 7850 like a champ.

I got the 100-B1-0600-KR 80 for $35 off Newegg. I guess it's a wash as for whether paying $5 more is worth it for the 5% extra efficiency rating.
