You can get an 8800GTS for as low as $170 on Newegg which basically does the same thing overclocked.

9800GTX = rebadged 8800GTS

My overclocked 9800GTX is only 2% Faster than my overclocked 8800gts 512 was in 3DMark06.

To be fair 3D Mark 06 is not exactly a GPU test anymore.

But yeah, there is no reason to upgrade from 8800GTS 512 -> 9800GTX, unless you are dying for that 800MHz+ overclock.

niiice...definitely gonna run to my frys (in like 5 minutes actually) and pick it up. cant beat it for $250 AR...lowest i see an evga 9800GTX online is like $300.

anyways after reading reviews of this card i returned it.

BS, its an evga card, so it has the 90 day step-up. dont worry, i plan to take full advantage of it in case they are wholeheartedly better.

Well, Nvidia's new stuff isn't going to be in the same price range -- looks like real high-end.

But you also dont know where ATI's cards will fall which looks to be the same price as this card for the 4870. Nvidia this round is suppose to be way off on the price due to manufacturing costs.
