1 of these is fine for a while but it would be nice to know they'll still be around for a possible SLI upgrade in 6 months time or so... If they're still around I assume the price will be even lower then as well.

For people looking for an alternate bios, you can try HERE
Although, the text file located in the archive says its a GTX bios, everything else says its an older GTO(xxx.08). Anyone guinea pigs out there? Heh...

In case anyone is still interested, I have a GTX bios that I've successfully flashed my GTO to. As long as your GTO can do 1600mhz stable (which u should test), this bios will boot up your machine as a GTX.

Is this a worthy upgrade from a 7900GT @ 500/725 ???

Just to let you guys know, this is an outstanding card. I upgraded from a 9600XT (yah, so I'm "alittle" late...) and the performance is amazing. I picked mine up from newegg for about 252$ or so and thought that it was a great deal. Why am I not finicking over the price difference ? Mine does 710/830 with ease (haven't tested any higher). w00t.

Looks like they ship pretty quickly. I ordered this morning and their site shows that my order will be shipping today. Can't wait

if you can wait, fine. If you however, buy it today, there are 90 days for you to step up to g80 with eVGA if choose to do so.

The problem is, the upgrade program is based on the price you actually pay for the first card, and you have to pay MSRP for the new card, instead of getting it on sale.
