I think deals similar to this have been posted here before but I don't see any on the first two pages.

the OR LESS! part comes from the software bundle

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130596

the card is $140AR ($30 MIR) w free shipping.

I believe the NEWCUSTOMER10 coupon is still working (may need to open a new account).

It also comes with the Digital Creativity Suite and Mafia II (when you register online). Online registration also gets a warranty bump to 10 years.

The Digital Creativity Suite gets around $80 on ebay (take care to word it properly if you want the best sale price) so after fees/rebates etc. the net cost on the card is somewhere around $65

Meh. Just picked up this card a month ago for the same price ($170). Rebates are a pain in the ass, so I don't really worry about them. As far as speed goes, it's the same as a GTX 470 and Radeon HD 6870. It still has some OCing headroom, and if you over-volt a bit you can get it to 920-950MHz Core.

Meh?

maybe you didn't notice the price. Yes it is an estimate but $65 is WAY BETTER than $170

I clocked mine to 900MHz. Didn't touch the voltage and don't really care how much higher it could get.

Not really an estimate, no. Some people do care about rebates, I'll give you that. But the software bundle is gonna be dismissed by pretty much everyone.

$170 without rebate; $140 with. Same I would've paid a month ago, but I didn't bother with the rebate since it's a PITA. It is a great card, though, I'll give you that.

would you guys recommend this card or the 560 ti for $199 AR?

It depends. The GTX 560 Ti is a bit faster at the same clocks, not to mention it can OC higher.

If you take into account that the 560 Ti is around 10% faster at the same clock speed and that it can get to 1000/1050MHz instead of 920/950MHz Core on the 460, you end up with a card that's around 20% faster *if* you OC. If you don't care about OCing, get the GTX 460. It''ll only be 10% slower and you'll be saving $50.

Also, at what res are you gaming?

where are you seeing that its only 10% faster? according to anandtech it appears to be more around 20-50% faster: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/313?vs=330

I'll be gaming at 1920x1080.

Hexus found about 10% difference with equal clocks. The 460 is the better buy, but obviously the 560Ti is faster and will OC higher.

http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=28691&page=9

"Pitting two equally-clocked GTX 460 and GTX 560 Ti cards against one another shows that there's roughly a 10 per cent performance advantage in favour of the newer Ti. "

I already explained this to you. The GTX 560 Ti has 10% higher performance at the same clock speed as a GTX 460/560. That means that, both at 800MHz on the Core and same clock speeds on the Shaders and Memory, the 560 Ti will be 10% faster. The EVGA GTX 460 SSC+ that is being linked here comes with a 850/1700/3900MHz Core/Shader/Memory speed. Most 560 Tis come factory over-clocked to around the same speed, hence the 560 Ti will be around 10% faster stock.

Again, are you gonna over-clock? If you over-clock both to the max, it can stretch to a 15-20% difference depending on what you can achieve with slightly higher voltage. If you're gonna run stock, get the GTX 460.

At 1920x1080 both are gonna be good for maxing out any game except the poorly coded ones like Metro 2033 and Crysis.

By estimate I meant the $65 price, not the $170. It is an estimate because you won't know how much you get till it sells. And if someone is too lazy to do a rebate I'm sure they also would not want to sell software on ebay.

This is a Hot Deals forum so it is reasonable to assume some people are looking for the best deals and it won't be "dismissed by pretty much everyone". Maybe on a extreme overclocking LN2 only forum...

Similar deals have ended up on the front page of slick deals a few times. Again, its for those willing to do a little extra work to get a better price. This isn't the MSRP forum!

I hopped on this deal as soon as I saw it on SD. If it didn't have the rebate AND the opportunity to sell the Adobe software, I wouldn't have gotten it. I'm upgrading from an eVGA GTX 260 SC (216sp/55nm), which I hope to sell.

I like this deal. I have 2 other evga 460s in SLI running in my folding box. I don't mind rebates, especially evga's rebates, they have been good to me
