Hahaha... Typical Dell. There is a good chance they'll use the same tactic as before pushing out ship date until people give up and cancel or until the card is worth $250...

I remembet the ATI X800XT or soemthing similar. They had a screw up like this and people held on for over 6 months of delays lol

I was in on the 8800 GT deal. Dell tried to cancel on me numerous times, even going as far as sending an email saying "we're canceling your order unless you call us." I ended up getting the two cards I ordered around 3 or 4 months later after supplies ramped up and prices went down, so I only ended up saving around $15 per card instead of $80 per card.

They did this exact same thing to me on a 22" Mitsubishi CRT that I caught way under priced. Ended up getting the monitor eventually though. Congrats to those who got in on this deal though, great buy on the card at that price. As much as I dislike nVidia when I saw this posted I was going to jump on two for SLI (some deals are just too good to let silly principles get in the way, haha). Best I can tell I missed the deal by about 30 minutes.

Looks like the 480 shipped to a signficant subsection of buyers. Reading the reports, you would think the people who ordered last are getting the cards, but not for me. I ordered about 9:00 p.m. (pretty close to the cutoff) and I am still "in production."

My guess, some distribution centers had more 480(s) in stock, some less. If you're close to the center with more stock, you're in luck. I also ordered using the cheapo (7 day?) shipping. Perhaps they're giving priority to customers who paid more for shipping?

Yep, same here. Content with my 4890/4870 crossfire setup, but Dell had better stand behind their offer (the principle). I think a lot of people who bought this card at this price just wanted to check the notorious thing out. Ironically, my power consumption and heat generation will go down when I put the 480 in.

My order is also now a 6/28, and I probably put it in about half a hour or so before posting this thread. My main comp has a 280, so it doesn't need something new that bad, but the 480 would replace that allowing the 280 to go into my secondary which only has an 8800gt (and now a 24" screen) which does need the upgrade. Plus I can see about tossing the 8800 in with the 480 for physx.

I wish I got this before the deal ended. The only thing holding me back form building a new computer is the cost of the current generation DX11 cards that can actually run games in DX11 mode.
