EVGA NF4 SLI (NF41-AX) report

Help!!!

My new system not even pass @ 10x 210HT.

Here my system:

Opteron 146, stepping CABYE 0540FPMW (suppose good stepping)
EVGA NF41 SLI mobo
1GB 2x512mb OCZ PC4000 Gold VX 1:1 2-2-2-8, 1T, 3.25v
Antec NEO Power 480watt PSU
Two 36GB RAID on RAID 0
Windows XP x64
HT Mult 4x

Memtest86 test on RAM for 5 hours without error @ 235, 2-2-2-8, 1T, 3.25v.

Please give me some ideas, suggestions to overclock this system, thanks in advance.

Try setting your ram to 2T and see if it gets any better. My eVGA MOBO seems funny with my ram at 1T.
With 1T It can pass Memtest86 overclocked, but fails within Prime95. 2T its been stable.

May I ask why you are using such a high voltage for your memory? I would suggest you try memory timing more like 4-4-8, CL2, 2T first.

OCZ Gold VX can run at 3.3V.

Ok, so it can run that high voltage, but does it really need it? That just seems a bit far over the DDR spec, especially running fairly normal speeds from what I can tell...

winbond chips likes the high volts, but it gets really hot. I wouldn't run that high of voltage thru samsung chips though

The 2T setting for ram works very well for me. I am using 80mm fan to cool down the ram. I am able to overclock to 2.8Ghz stable for 12hrs. I am trying @ 2.9Ghz right now.

Ram: 2.5-3-3-7, 2T, 3.25v, DDR333
HT: 290

Got the board up and running with 1T. I overclock my 3400+ Venice to 10X265FSB, 1.55V core. The only thing I hate about this board is the NB chipset fan, it's hot, loud, and bad location.

Do i just have a bad board? should I get a replacement or should I just get my money back and go with another company?

Also the EVGA logo during bootup can be removed by hitting the TAB key

this is the EXACT same problem im having, multiplier for some reason when i increase HTT is at 5 X even though through BIOS i set it at 10

Any suggestions for a HSF for a mild OC using this board ? I've read several posts on the EVGA forums and here and haven't found anyone that had an easy time of it mounting an aftermarket heatsink. I was interested in the XP90 and the Gigabyte G-Power units, but the backplate issues have me rethinking my strategy. TIA

Opteron 146 at 260X10 with Voltges pretty much stock on everything 2X1gig OCZ DC Platinum 3200 5-2-3-2. I can't think of a single NF4 board that will accept any type of RAM without some incompatibity issues. I',m very satified at this end considering the board was basically free.
