EVGA is the best video card company hands down. They make GREAT products, both in performance and quality. Even when you are unlucky enough to get a defective product (or don't get your free game) They do everything in their power to make it right.

How many other companies would do that?

Oh man, I've got to jump in here.

I have two EVGA 7800GTX KO's running in SLI. I have had a few questions come up along the way, and though I usually NEVER get them to answer when I call, they always call me back without fail.

I got into their step-up program where they allow you to upgrade your video card for the difference between what you paid for the current card, minus the MSRP of the new card.

I paid $575 for my current cards, each, and the MSRP of the 7800GTX 512 is $699. $125 each for new cards! They are on severe back order now, but if their new technology comes out before I get to the front of the queue, I can choose to step up to that instead.

absolutely unbelievable. In an age when everyone's tech support(assuming they have it) is moving to India where the level of support is pitiful(in my experience with both Dell and Linksys), this is amazing.

Plus it's a great marketing tool for them. They make a lot of money off word of mouth from people like us and that's great. We win and so do they.

Best PC component vendor I have ever, ever worked with!!

It's reasons like this that I'm going to get an EVGA 7800GT soon.

I emailed eVGA and they said they would send me a free copy of COD2 even if the offer is no longer available . . .

Really? That would make the deal even sweeter. I just can't decide whether the copper version is worth the extra money or not...

Well, it is if you don't plan on using aftermarket cooling . . . otherwise, I would say no not worth it.

Oh and the exact words on the email were:

"I will honor this even if the deal was over. I will ship tomorrow ups ground."

Damn, good to hear some companies still truely understand customer service.

It'd be nice if eVGA made ATi cards

Ya, I recently purchased a 256GTX and made sure it was eVGA. This thread really makes me feel good about that purchase but it's really crazy how a little customer service on their part goes a long way to earning business.

I can't imagine doing business with another company for my video card needs. Not to mention, look at what they do to the landscape. I'm sure other vendors will have to lower their restrictions because of the great work eVGA does on the back end. And the winner is the consumer. Go eVGA. Go Mario. Simply amazing what I read here.

MAN! Did I get a RAW deal. I received two defective 7800GTs in a row and all I got was copy of Battlefield 1942 (which I had already)

My previous three video upgrades have all been from eVGA. I've been consistently happy with their products and service.

I too have been very please with my eVGA card. I am just pretty annoyed that I bought my 7800GT CO in the three week window between the free games. Don't get me wrong, the card is great but I barely missed a free game, either or both of which I would like. I may have to email that Mario guy and see what he says.

Wow, this really is a breath of fresh air. Usually all I hear is how hard it is to get service.

Next time I upgrade (which will probably be in the near future) I'm going to take a veeery good look at eVGA!

Also, I heard that BFG Tech had a really goo service dept...

I heard that about BFG also. XFX is good in my book as well...they replaced a fan on my 5900XT that was over 2 years old. No questions asked.

Update - in the mail today from eVGA were both the DVD versions of Quake 4 and Call of Duty 2. Thanks Mario! I think it's pretty cool that someone as senior as Mario is there to help the customers on a personal level. I know my G71, G80, etc will be eVGA.

Wow. I have ATI at the moment and I am now convinced that my next card will be EVGA. Im expecting ATI's first round of DX10 cards to be superior due to their increased experience with unified shaders, but if NVidia is close on the heels I think I may just buy eVga for this amazing support; and that is saying something coming for a cheapskate like me.

I got one of those famos EVGA 6800 Ultras that didn't make the cut, and were scaled to 6800 speeds and sold as such. The one I got couldn't even handle 6800 speeds, got artifacts. Called them up, took some haggling because it was a limited edition deal, they hardly even sold any,but they sent me another. I'm almost positive they just sent me 6800 Ultra because they lacked the one I actually bought. Friggin card overclocked WELL beyond 6800 Ultra Extreme speeds, about 1350 from the ram with the stock cooler and paste. Best $250 I've ever spent, about 1.5 years ago now.

EVGA FTW

i didnt get my power cable with my card i got from newegg 6800gs and i didnt want to wait for them to send me 1 so i went out and got 1 on my own for $8
I emailed them and told them this and all they did was send me a power cable. In my email i told them i already got 1 on my own. They should have sent me something instead.

Damn, I must have missed it or something. =(

I emailed them and found out they were out of Quake4 and weren't doing any promotions as far as games go. =(

That kinda sucks; usually videocards come with *something* to show them off. Oh well.

That's what I thought until I received a defective 7900GTX from them and now a month later I still don't have a replacement and haven't even gotten an answer from them as to the status of my RMA since I was issued an RMA number. The directions said to wait for the replacement to come, then ship the defective one back... still no replacement here... and no replies to e-mails I've sent them asking about the status.
