To those saying the game has no depth, maybe they are not playing it long enough. As my skill rose in the game, especially as the monster, my tactics kept changing. The game is definitely deeper than all the reviewers are suggesting. You need at least 10 hours into this game before you have a really good grasp of the mechanics and maps.
The two big issues I have had in this Big Alpha are the buggy, lag-prone, and unoptimized matchmaking system and the Kraken balance issues. The matchmaking in the Alpha is horrible. The average match for me was about 10-13 minutes but I would routinely waste 30 minutes trying to get into a session. Once you actually manage to get into a session, the wait times before and after a match and the loading times all add up to close to 10 minutes per match. 50% of the game is wait times. That is unacceptable.
The 2nd issue is the unlockable flying monster, the Kraken. Right now, it is really OP, very hard to track as it flies, very hard to damage (mines and gas grenades and harpoon spikes are useless), and it has a infinite hover ability. The assault's tesla gun and flamethrower are also useless if it is high enough and the SMGs have a very wide spread which doesn't help. Damage from the Kraken attacks is too high, higher than the Goliath (jumping Godzilla clone) yet the Goliath is less survivable because it is on the ground. And the Kraken melee attacks are on par with the Goliath's which is just silly. The developers need to either nerf the Kraken damage or nerf its health. I am sure the balance issues will disappear with future patches.
