My roommate was telling me about when one of his cats gave birth. She ate two of the kittens. Not completely though. Their partially chewed up corpses were in the "litter" with the other kittens. He doesn't know whether they were dead already. I think they were though. In the wild some animals will eat a few of their young to ensure that the mother can provide for the remaining. It's still disgusting though.
