Does having my watch set to military time count?

That's a negative maggot!

SOP is to blend in with the civilians no matter how hard it might be; adapt, improvise, and overcome.

Nope! I'll have to brush up if my plan of joining ROTC next fall comes to fruition.

Out of those mentioned, I never hear:

Affirmative
Negative
10/4
Quarters (except when you get put on them if you are sick)

I do hear:

The 24-hour clock is the way to go. Europe uses it and so should the entire world, IMO. It would make things a lot easier. AM/PM is just lazy bullshit probably invented by lazy Americans (I'm not Googling it, so bite me) just to be different.

I even go out of my way to buy a 24-hour alarm clock just to not have to deal with "Is the "PM" LED on? What fciking time is it, really?" BS.

Seeing 0430 or 1630 on the clock instantly lets me know what time it is...and if I'm late for my shift or not.

I used FUBAR before I joined, so does that really count?
Most of the terms I really used were specific to the job/equipment so they didn't transfer.

I used to shout out "outstanding" all the time, and "roger that", and so one. Time heals all wounds and I'm more civilian these days.

I have my Vista Laptop set to 24 hour time. So i see the 24 hour format in every app I use (Outlook, Excel, etc etc)

makes things SOOOO much easier. (not to mentio makes the clock in the systray a little smaller, leaving more room for taskbar items)

not an ex-mil

But one time I used the word 'negative' instead of 'no' and the cashier woman asked if was ex-military.
I just switched it up because I tire of the typical canned reply.
