Excel problem

I have an Excel spread sheet that has one column with the Last Name and another column with First Name. I need to make a new column with the first name and last name in it. I tried the concatenate function, but, I think, it only works for one cell (the function is =c1& " "&d1). It doesn't recognize ranges.

Never tried to use concantenate before.
Try to enter David (in cell A1) and Smith (in cell b1). Then in c1 put =A1&b1

May not be what you are trying to do though.

no, concatenate will work..lets say you have last name in Cell A1, and first name in cell B1...

in C1, put this in:

=concatenate(a1,",",b1)

that will work

you can use a space (" ") instead of the comma if you want the names seperated like that.
