yes, because exercise is all about appearances.

and i have plenty of friends who have kids and are still very active, i'm not concerned at all about being able to exercise after i do have kids. i know i will still do it because i won't be full of excuses like most people who use their kids as an excuse as to why they don't.
And they're like a home made strong lifts 5X5...the more they grow, the more you get to lift. Win, win.

Humans aren't made to sit around 10+ hours a day. Even just as little as 30 minutes a day can help immensely.

It's very obvious that you don't have kids.

The good news is when you do have them you care much less about your appearance.

Not necessary...you might go through a time like that but, the choice is yours to stay there or get your ass moving again. I know it's not easy, yes I have kids and I try to exercise 3 times a week. Life does get in the way and at times I don't feel like going but, I hate the feeling of not going more.

Well, that's the thing. I don't really care about my appearance, but even considering that, I also don't really feel better after exercising either. I also have a one year old, and someone has to watch her. So it's actually impossible for both me and my wife to go to a gym without getting a babysitter, which we can't afford (can barely afford child care during the day). Our option is taking walks, which is better than nothing, assuming we can keep the baby entertained in her stroller. She goes to bed at 7:30 though so there's a very narrow window in which we can walk.

I will own up to making the excuse of hating exercise as a reason to not do it. If my schedule made it easy to find time, maybe I could force myself to. But when it's difficult to do AND it's something I hate doing, of course I won't do it.

Can you exercise in the morning before work? You don't even have to go to a gym to exercise.

This. A scoop of N.O.Xplode in the morning and I'm good to go with working out in the morning, actual doing work at the office and getting home doing something with the kids.

good stuff, that. I like the tingly feeling it gives ya too, from the beta alanine. Also, it hasn't (yet) been found to contain a methamphetamine precursor like many other preworkouts!

the ones that have kids and say they don't have time are simply making excuses. the "i dont have time to exercise" is probably the most common yet worst excuse possible.

They can spend an hour a day on EBay or facebook or making more kids but can't find 45 minutes twice a week to move. Pfft.

You're just wasting those heartbeats, we only get a certain number of them in a lifetime.
I like to try to keep a nice safe resting heartrate 24/7, I'll live to 120 easy.

Gym memberships usually include childcare for an hour :awe:

Lets see
work
Kids = thier school, their activities , entertainment
wife too good luck

You might be able to wing it the first few years then its downhill from there. Not making the kid as an excuse but if they have issues or not doing well its hard to focus on yourself.

Exercise only helps when I go to bed early. I'm super motivated & energetic when I get enough sleep and working out is fun. Otherwise, it's a drag.

People who are in great aerobic condition have a much lower resting heart rate and use many fewer heartbeats each day.
People who are aerobically fit have better cognitive function and they feel less stressed in any given situation.

I modestly worked out a bit my first couple years of college on and off, but it seemed like every time I would notice that my pecs actually gained the slightest jiggle when running down the stairs or similar, I'd go through a period where I couldn't eat more than a few to several hundred calories a day and would then lose it. I gained 20lbs my first semester of college and some incredibly meager strength, but haven't budged at all since then. I've given up and like some of my family I will probably go from uber-skinny to tubby by my 40's.

I'm already getting in shape for the Christmas eating and drinking regimen, which kicks in beginning of December, which is just a month away. I find if I'm good shape going into the month of December, I don't feel like a fat slob in January.
