Here's the issue:
In a Win 2003 SBS domain, a user created a email, saved it as a draft, then decided to delete it. Normally not a problem. However, for this particular user, this draft email, even when permanently deleted, keeps copying itself back into the draft folder. Every hour or so (not at specific intervals) a new copy will show up in the draft folder.
Here's what I've done to solve it:
1) delete drafts, empty deleted items, stop/restart all Exchange services
2) delete drafts and restart server
3) send a couple of the drafts to valid accounts, then delete drafts
4) found a copy of the draft in the user's 'sync issues>conflicts' folder, deleted it, restarted Exchange and restarted server later that day
5) Used EXMERGE to export his mailbox to a PST, deleted his mailbox, re-created it, then EXMERGEd the PST back into the new mailbox
6) ran MSMAPI from Microsoft, found the TempTable# folder in the mail store, deleted it, restarted SMTP per this article: http://msexchangetips.blogspot...ete-exchange-temp.html --after that, I deleted his draft folder via the MSMAPI tool, then allowed his local Outlook to re-create it by creating a new email and saving it.
The draft is still coming back. I'm at the end of my rope here. I can't possibly imagine what's going on. Everything else in Exchange works fine. Any ideas whatsoever are aprecciated.
