Maybe at some point, for now I just mean disabling the bloat via application manager.

Are the number of bloats same, larger, or smaller than on the S4? The phone looks great but I dread of the bloats.

What you did is what I did for the S4's in my circle. I did it quite a few times, and after the first couple of them I grew tired and even infuriated with all those bloats. Not being able to uninstall them is one. Another is that even if I could uninstall them, I wouldn't know which ones were safe to remove without wasting time. Samsung should really stop ruining their products this way.

Looks like the T-mobile version is the model to get. I'm planning on seeing if I can buy one today without service to use on AT&T since it appears all the bands match up. The only thing I'm concerned about is the sim unlock but some people on XDA haven't seem to have any probs with that either.

Edit: I went and purchased a T-mobile note 3 a couple of hours ago. He wouldn't let me buy it without an account but I took the opportunity to test their service to see if it was improved from the last time I tried them (5 yrs ago).

I also purchased a SIM unlock from a site online. It took them a little over an hour to send me my code but I'm now using my T-mobile purchased Note 3 with an AT&T SIM. I'm rooted and ready for... whatever.

I wanna say it's about the same. I think it also depends on the carrier, with Verizon being the worst in my experience. I disabled just about every Samsung feature save for the S Pen stuff, installed Nova launcher and use a one screen setup with zero animations. Super speedy, and I can confirm that my gallery loads instantly.

One bug or issue I have noticed is that picture taking is slow. Snap a picture and it shows "Processing" with a loading bar for about 2 seconds. This is on Auto mode, not sure what's going on with that but otherwise I'm very happy with the Note 3. It's so much lighter and I want this faux leather backing on all my phones now.

Edit: Something new and nice, you can setup IMAP accounts to Push in the stock email app.

^ Aww man, I don't know if I can stick to my original plan of waiting past the new year to replace my N2.

I'm jelly bro, my VZ pre order is still showing as valid, only wild card with the glitch is that I hope they keep my corp discount active, have heard varying reports.

The Note 2 is easily the best/favorite smartphone I've owned, hoping for the same experience with Note 3.

I will say I liked the S Pen better on the Note 2. By that I mean the physical build, it was easier to pull the pen out on the Note 2 than it is on the 3.

Well, I ordered one from verizon to replace my job supplied iphone 5. I was gonna get the 5S but its more of the same and I could really use the larger screen for my aging eyes. Should be in next week.

How big of a deal is it that the Note 3 on Sprint only has one LTE band? Or is that even true?

I'm really leaning toward getting this. My S2 is starting to show its age and act a little wonky. I just need to make sure I don't lose my 6GB in data if I make the switch. The phone looks gorgeous and is a perfect size.

Just to confirm they come with 32GB and you can add up to 64GB through MicroSD?

*A mobile computer in my pocket with potential 128GB of storage...*

Liking that idea a lot.

yep, tmo almost never carries devices that you cannot write stuff to pretty easily. just interface with download mode and it will allow you to write whatever.

This device uses a newer dtb kernel build just like G2 and the new sony as well, a bit wonky but nothing too bad. Everything works now just need to test more stuff.. and I want to play with the phone too

Now to find out if I can run LTE/GSM with T-Mobile version on AT&T

Technically illegal, you know (even if you own the phone outright).

Anyway, that's exactly what I stopped by the T-Mo store for today. At first they told me that they could unlock it for me even without service if I bought it out-right but then they checked on it and told me that I would need to have 40-days of paid service with active use in the last 7 days to request an unlock code. I'd rather just buy an already unlocked one for less money and time (even after shipping).

I keep looking for an HDMI monitor with speakers on sale to replace my main monitor and do this all the time, have hooked the adapter up to receiver/projector, but it's not exactly optimal for productivity

Wanting the best hardware is not mutually exclusive with saying that benchmarks are pointless.

Aside from more ram than other phones, there is nothing spectacular about the GN3. Maybe others do far more stuff on their phones than me but I'm finding nothing compelling about these phones. Me, all I want is a large screen and something that does not slow down my machine or drain the battery.

Which phone are you using? Even on the S3 there's a much greater variety of apps that will run in multi window than that.

I have an Optimus G Pro. Great phone and large screen with no tint
It too has the multi-tasking gimmick that I don't use. Maybe this feature is in its infancy or maybe a company like Apple hasn't shown the industry how to utilize it yet but I find it annoying.

Sony in no way has the best camera. They might make some of the best camera sensors but that's not the same thing because A) they sell those sensors to everyone. B) they somehow manage to make them shitty when they put them in their own phones.

Look at the latest reviews of their flagship Z1. It's the best.

If you want a real stylus and digitizer, it's note3 or bust. I get that you do not care about it (or it seems that way) but for those of us that do, that's what makes the note3 spectacular relative to other phones. Spec beast + microsd + removable battery + giant screen = icing on the cake

Battery life so far has been pretty bad for me. I unplugged from 100% 9 hours ago and I'm already at 50% with barely any usage.... with Google Services taking up more battery life than my screen! What's up with that? lol

complete opposite experience here, wonderful battery life so far.

google services should not be taking up that much juice, do an adb dumpstate and grep for Wakelocks and see what is keeping it awake.

Give it a day or two and see it continues. And check your signal environment (Wi-Fi to 4G to 3G to Wi-Fi to..) That eats up battery like crazy. (Thought I thought S800 kind of mitigated it w/ integrated modems?
