From my research it looked very trustworthy. Anyway, it's been working very well for now. If something happens down the road, I will cross that bridge then.

Yeah as long as you're careful, eBay IMO is fine. Good sellers will back their products up.

On the other hand, I bought my second Note 3 from negri and was very happy with them.

Agreed.

So do you guys use your stylus a lot? I'm not really sure what to do with it. I've taken it out once or twice, but that's about it.

I use it for drawing and when I wear gloves. I thought I would use it for notes and such but I am faster on the screen keyboard for text.

What I am having a blast with is my Moga Hero Pro gamepad and GTA:SA!

You can usually tell if a major eBay seller is trustworthy. Many are trusted at least as much as Negri Electronics.

That's the thing: it's even happened to a few Negri customers. For the ones who haven't had a problem it can still happen at any time in the next two years.

The suppliers for unlocked carrier-branded phones are varied because all are distributed through the carrier and purchased piecemeal.

Unlocked carrier-branded phones are only a subset of all the unlocked phones they sell, so the risk isn't so high with others.

Notes at work where text is intermingled with diagrams/flows/etc. Most of my stuff is rarely pure text so S-note synced with my Evernote account is something I use almost every day.

Interesting, I have not used Evernote a tonne. I should look into this. Thanks.

Got out of my contract. Trying to decide if I want to bother with changing anything as I plan on just sticking with Verizon for the time being. In some ways I'd like to ditch Touchwiz, although I don't really have any major issues and don't want to lose S Pen (and would like to keep Sketchbook free so that I have an ok sketch program until ArtRage outs their Android version they claim to be working on).

Back in 2012 I absolutely hated TouchWiz.

However I have grown to like TouchWiz now. I actually flashed Cyanogenmod on my previous phone (Galaxy S3) and then I bought the Galaxy Note 3.

Even though Cyanogenmod felt a lot more smoother, TouchWiz just has too many software features that I like now.

However I wish Samsung could refine TouchWiz better.

4.4.2 has leaked for the AT&T Note 3 - however it appears to break all known root methods (as expected). Has the normal Kit Kat updates that everyone knows about, though there's no option to use ART.

Not enough in KK for me to update my Note 3 yet until a root method is established. I don't need custom ROMs anymore, but I do need root + dpi change + Wanom xposed + app settings.

Pretty sure I read that it was leaked for other carriers too, like T-Mobile. N9005 owners with a certain bootloader have a way to upgrade to the leaked Polish 4.4.2 while retaining root and an exploitable bootloader version. Knox 0x0 too for many regions and bootloader combinations.

Any ATT users here also having this GPS issue? apparently, when switching from LTE to a non-LTE signal, the GPS signal gets lost...only happens with ATT users and the only fix is to root the phone...

some of these posters are on their 2nd/3rd replacements and still have the issue....

http://forums.att.com/t5/Android-Discussion-and-Support/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-GPS-Issue/td-p/3824953

I don't use my GPS enough for this be an issue, but I do lose the GPS signal alot when it is used...

I have a T-Mobile phone on AT&T, so I'll check it out when I can.

I haven't updates purely because it's a leak. I only rooted my Note II so I could use a kernel with the "Privacy Mode" which forces every sound through the headphone jack.

With the fact that the bootloader is locked and the secure chain is unbroken, I don't even think anybody has written any kernels for the Note III, much less any kernel with "Privacy Mode", so I haven't even bothered to look at root.

Bootloader is unlocked on my T-Mobile Note 3.

My Verizon Note 3 that I am using on t-mobile has exhibited the dreaded proximity sensor defect. When on a call the sensor will turn off the screen but when you move your face away it doesn't turn on the screen. Blowing in the ear piece alleviates it but it will happen again. Im gonna send it back to VZW and make sure they send the fixed version.

I just got this phone a couple of months ago and loving it. Great stock battery life, fast, beautiful screen and fits my big hands perfectly. Went ahead and bought the Zerolemon extended battery and could not believe how long I was able to run the screen.

Had the Droid X before this phone and I would be lucky to get around 3-4 hours of on screen before the battery died. Huge night and day difference between the phones. Hopefully it lasts me four years like the X.

Yeah, but I was specifically referring to his post, which was about the AT&T device.

If I had $770 available, I would've bought the T-Mobile Note III and had it unlocked to use with my AT&T account.

I'm saying that the kernels would exist because versions with unlocked bootloaders exist. It isn't limited to dev editions.

Well after seeing this Spring's new phones, last Fall's Note 3 is still looking pretty awesome. Only advancement the Spring 2014 phones bring is the Snapdragon 801, and that's really just a small clock bump from the 800.

I needed to get myself an Android work phone (not sure if it'll replace my personal Nexus 5 yet or not). And after seeing the Galaxy S5, One 2014, and that stuff from Sony and LG. I was more drawn to the large 5.7 inch display and pen on the Note 3 rather than anything that just launched. Though the One 2014 with it's front facing speakers was tempting, I decided I wanted the bigger screen and pen more.

So far I'm impressed with the Note 3. It fits in my pocket fine (was worried about that), the speaker sounds better than my Nexus 5 and better than I remember Samsung speakers being in the past, though I still wouldn't call it great. Pen feels nice to write with (nubs seem to have a texture that makes it feel like writing on paper sorta). I miss having buttons on the bezel, I was never a fan of the on screen buttons wasting screen space. And thank god for the faux leather improvement, feels much better in the hand than the glossy plastic phones from before.

I did get a Note 3 with a defective screen, has a noticeable blue tint at the bottom. But I'm having Verizon send me a replacement.

Overall, despite this phone being about half a year old now. It still looks like a great choice amongst the new offerings.

I have to agree, Even after seeing the S5 and the new One I still consider the Note 3 to be the top Android flagship out there. I kinda wish I still had mine, gave it to my dad. Every now and then he gives it to me to do something and I start missing it again lol.

Yep, nothing really is that tempting to me as a daily phone to replace my Note 3. Though if the Note 4 has that horrid S5 back, that'll break my heart.

Yeah. I actually really liked the faux leather back on my Note 3. It was comfortable, had good grip, looked nice and did not scratch easy.
