EXE assocition changed

Hi.

My dad's computer got infectd by a virus. I removed it with Norton Antivurus, but now all the .exe files are set to open with an application called SIRC32.exe, part of the virus i guess. I can't change it with Explorer, it doesn't let me. And I can't use regedit either, it's an exe.

So how can i change tyhe right key of the registry from DOS?

Sounds like sircam, but you may want to double check
Norton has a removal utility:

I booted to DOS mode, and changed the shell from explorer.exe to regedit.exe in the win.ini then you boot and get regedit instead of the start button, fix the registry, reboot back to dos, and restore explorer, and it shoudl work. that of course is the hard way

You can also do DOS regedit, but that is kinda a pain. I think the explorer to regedit way is easier.
