Expected results?

Ok, I was running a 1ghz AXIA(266) at 1.4 on my shuttle ak31rev2, but now decided to move up. I just bought a XP 1600 unlocked(used) and a EP-8KHA+. I have 2x 256mg sticks of crucial 2100's. The problem I had with my shuttle was anything over a 148-149ish fsb would give me hard drive errors. I am running 2x WD300BB(30gigers). I do not know what the prob is here with my HD's. The shuttle did not give me any options for dividers... I want to get the most out of my gear. Does anyone currently run this board? And at what settings?

Does anyone know at what FSB the USB cuts at on the Epox? Shuttle cut out at 137..

i'm thining it's the drives. I had some maxtor ide drives, and it wouldn't let me go more then 150 fsb. But now, i went all scsi system so like i'm running 160 no problem. But just got the IWILL XP333 board so imma get it higher. didn't try it out more then 160. =).

I'm running my 8KHA+ at 140 and the USB still works.

uhh your fsb cuts out? what is the chipset on that one?i know the orginal kt266 usb cuts out around 138 fsb. anyway i dont think its your hard drive killing your ocing, it might be your ide controller, but me thinks its the motherboard.

The mobo was a shuttle ak31rev2. It does have the kt266 chipset. I have read about it cutitn out atr 137-138. Does anyone knoe of a good ide controller for higher fsb's? I am content with FSB around 150. I do not have a need for any higher. I am plannin on pushin the 1600 XP to 1.6. We will see...I think it is one of my drives acting up, but I don't remember wich is wich(1 retail 1 oem).
