From what I hear, poaching Dolphins isn't even a popular thing in Japan and that most Japanese do not know that it takes place.

It's actually a very terrible and sad thing, even worse than Japan killing Whales.

Have you ever seen "The Cove" before? Please watch it. Such a sad documentary.

Before an arguement starts, I'll go ahead and start and conclude with, "I don't agree with your viewpoint." It's a difference of opinions and we can leave it at that. However, that documentary - like most documentaries - has been sensationalized.

Anecdotal, but most of my friends and family have tried dolphin. Some like it some don't, but none eat it on a regular basis. All are familiar, especially at this point, with "dolphin poaching."

My brother has lived in Tokyo for 4 years and tells me of course housing is expensive but the food is expensive because it's smaller portions for nearly the same price as here and things we can commonly get in the states is more expensive since it's not normal there.

Has your brother been to a gyudon shop, ramen shop or, hell, a McDonald's? My staple ramen shop in Akatsuka gives me a piping bowl of ramen for around $5 that is a larger, tastier (non-GMO) portion than you $9.99 entrees from Outback/Applebee's/etc. crap you get in the states.

People say I remind them of the Buddha. I'd love to live in Yokohama for their Chinatown alone (the largest in the world outside of Chinese cities). But there's also an American military base there...
