Does anyone know if Dell will do the component buyback thing with Dimensions like they did with the 400SC's? I'd buy one of these for my wife, she wouldn't need the hard drive, memory, or optical drive, since I could pull them from her current system.

The 4600 can hold a second hard drive quite well. I put a 120 GB drive in mine in addition to the 40GB that came with it. They have a weird setup that is proprietary (requires removing both their cages and the HD's are mounted vertically) but it fits in fine.

don't forget about the $130 upgrade to radeon 9800 which a lot of people are reporting to flash easily to 9800 pro. even if it doesn't, it's still a good price for a radeon 9800 (usually $250).

That's a P4 2.6 WITHOUT HT technology at 533Mhz. It's the lowest end 2.6 The highest end is a 2.6 w/HT and a 800Mhz FSB.

True the FSB is only 533mhz (which is still very fast and very adequate for games today) and the memory runs only at 333 mhz. But as it was said earlier, for $130 more, you can get the ATI 9800 card. And for a total of $430 ($500 - $70 from 10% SB Coupon), you're getting a very good priced computer.
