Its probably just you. Most have been very impressed by the service. No downtime, fast, reliable (so far, atleast)!

if I'm not mistaken, I can't go to my tk domain link for files and subdirectories(eg. www.blah.tk/image) but have to go through telling people that they can access it via http://blah.onlinehome.us/image. Is it just that tk doesn't offer that service period or is it that it's not free? Thanks.

The admin.1and1.com page is EXTREMELY slow for me. Is it fast for everyone else?

admin.1and1.com was really slow when I used Internet Explorer to access it. When I tried Mozilla, it speeded up. Netscape, Mozilla, or Firebird would probalby all work the same. For some reason, when using IE, there's a constant upload to the admin.1and1.com site, which I assume is why everything gets slowed down.

i know this may be asking a lot, but i really really need this extremely bad (a lot is on the line here) ... could someone tell me how to upload pictures so that people can view them in a thumbnail gallery? i have the php program called gallery but don't know how to use it... it doesn't have to be php, just anything that i can use to upload pics and let people view thumbnails... please help. Thank you very much.

Just thought I'd add that you can set cost control to $0.00. This was talked about earlier in the thread and someone had said the lowest you can go is $1. I was able to do $0.00

**Edit** Ignore that. Cost limit apparently does nothing other than send you an email:

Place a limit on your costs for services which carry a fee.

Click on Set Up to specify the amount you would like to keep under per billing period.

When you reach 90% of this amount, you will be notified per e-mail that you are nearing your set cost limit. This allows you to keep an eye on your costs and adjust your usage accordingly.
Another e-mail is sent to you as soon as the set limit is reached.
These e-mails will be sent to the e-mail address you specified under User Data.

Please note: Cost limit does not block the services or features in any way. This is a service provided to help you keep track of your spending

To view your traffic information to see if you're getting close to the limit, go to the directory /logs/traffic.html/. For example, here's mine: http://s88039565.onlinehome.us/logs/traffic.html/
It gives counts for the entire month and specific days of the month.

Actually, that link probably won't work for you because the logs directory is password protected.

here is a problem.

I was hosting my own website and using dyndns. 1and1 requires you to use their dns servers or else it gets wiped. I switched to them over the weekend.

I also run my own exchange server....I now cannot access my exchange web access nor can receive email within my domain.

I have looked over the 1and1 site and cannot find about adding mail server redirects and pointing.

Anyone know a way around this where I can keep my domain email and have access without creating a new domain?

I do not think 1and1 allows configurations of dns.
