Just installed the Gallery system as shown to me by decode. Pretty complicated installation via FTP but if you read carefully you'll get it. If you guys need help with installing this Gallery system, let me know and I'll walk to through it.

Anyhow, here's a couple of pics that I've uploaded. Add comments as you like.

Link to my gallery (was just uploaded as a test of the Gallery PHP scripts.

have your website contain a folder for downloads, place your materials in there. If you want it to be a secret and non disclosed, then name is some name that only you know, then go to your site, and use the /foldername to show its contents

you can enable front page extensions and do it that way with front page or you can use any ftp program

I use a free secure shell program called WinSCP3 and use the SSL port provided to you. It is all in your admin. Start there, in fact you can creat a webpage from one of their templates and walk throughs

simple question,

I have setup a images directory http://s86******.onlinehome.us/images

I want to be able to list this directory when I access the page in a browser. I set all the permission and all and even tinkered with the httpd.conf file , but still no luck , I get an http 403 error.

any ideas?

I had this in the httpd.conf file for the particuler directory but it didn't work.

<Directory "/kunden/homepages/....../images">
Options Indexes
order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>
FancyIndexing on

Make a .htaccess file in the directory you want to allow directory listing. Put the following text in it:

Options +Indexes

I signed up yesterday night but I haven't gotten a call, I gave them my work phone number though.

Also I didn't give them my real name or anything, is that a problem?

Guess i'll just ask all my web page questions here when i start my new page since there apparently arent any other good sites for learning. I'm going to have tons of questions too , actually i'll probably just get bored and give up on my site

you can use the the name of any of your domain name that is using their DNS to login. Just use the domain name instead of the customer id on the login page.

do you think this same kind of remedy would work on a cgi script on my website. I get the same error and have tinkered with the settings using winscp but to no avail...maybe you could try the form out..

it is www.nlfonline.net

and the contact page is for prayer requests.... MR.Yogi what do you think also?

I really need some help on this one?

Amazing website! One of the best site designs I've seen using Blogger.

One question... how do you get images from textamerica.com to your site?

Thanks for the compliments. I got the images from their site using the RSS link they provide. I just did a bit of programming in PHP to pull the xml file and parse it out. I'd be happy to share it with you or anyone else if they would be interested.
