Yeah, but how are we going to explore the universe using warp drive technology when we have all these borders and stuff?

Until the world grows a pair and pushes or shoves if necessary, people with the SJW mindset out of the way, we're going to be at the mercy of radical religious fundamentalists that are bent on killing everyone that doesn't worship their god. The answer is for the good people of the world to work together to eliminate the bad people. That would take us closer to the desired utopia than hoping for inbred assholes to somehow get smarter.

If the world wants the universe explored by warp drive technology the shortest path at this point in human development appears to be the annihilation of those that are holding us back. We either address the problem or we live with it. The nations of the world need to decide and we'll need a new president before there is a possibility of the U.S. being on board.

In the meantime we'll get to listen to people like sportage blame people who no longer have the power to change anything rather than the people in power that do.

We can stop this but it will result in some severe feather-ruffling of those most deeply in denial. Until we decide to tell them fuck you, we're taking care of this it will continue. It's really as simple as that.
Pushes and shoves how? What exactly do you suggest we do to stop these things from happening? Be specific.

Tell that to the people who died in these terrorist attacks. Tell that to the family and friends of those that perished while you try to sweep these 'incidents' under a rug. The real dipshit is in the mirror you look at.

I can't talk to dead people. I don't know the people related to them.

And I'm not trying to sweep anything. I'm trying to remind people to not give in to terror, when that's the fucking goal of terrorists.

Get a grip, dipshit.

Sad to see this. Thoughts are with those in Brussels trying to figure out if their family and friends are okay. Terrible tragedy.

The price we pay as a society in exchange for our liberties. Do you think we can stop this from ever happening again? How would we accomplish that?
Strawman. NOBODY is saying that we can stop this from ever happening again.

right this is GW fault.

You liberals have given these people free access to Europe and a bunch of handouts and they still hate you.

Maybe its time to stop making excuses for Islam?

V.G. is probably waiting for the ISIS talking points memo before posting.

Strength is the only thing they respect.

When Obama framed the Syrian refuges as merely 'widows and orphans' I was incredulous regarding this blatant lie...yet hardly anyone even lifted an eyebrow. I tired of being lied to.

Looks like you might have been lied to yet again by conservative sources. 67% of the refugees referred to the US have been women or male children under 12. Men who are 18 or older (which clearly includes the elderly as well) are about 25% of the total. Unless you thought that Obama was saying that the refugees were literally 100% women and orphans, a ridiculous idea, his remarks seem pretty true to me.

It seems that if you are tired of being lied to then you should probably stop getting your news from conservative sources as you have been badly misled by them repeatedly.

I'm not sure about that anymore. The more we bomb and fight them, the more we create.

It's still not Islam in general, more the radical side of it of course.

The indoctrination in the ME, that Daesh was born from, has been going on a long time of course.

It goes back to to the Crusades, at least.

The only thing that has changed is the way attacks are carried out, and the radical extremists of many populations being mixed and interacting globally in many countries.

Think we would figure this out. Especially since 9-11 where the reach of extremists has only grown with each and every bomb we drop.

You're equating refugees with terrorists...

I'd say you don't get one without the other... but that's a bit of a misnomer.
A proper frame of reference is that terrorists can come through any open border.
The simple solution is a closed border, which prevents both terrorists and refugees. They're in the same boat even though you can have one without the other.

I don't think they ever respected "strength". in fact i think it's the opposite. the stronger you are the better chance to die in a fight. the hardcore Muslim countries seem to be dirt poor (well except for a few..). what do they have to do besides study the quaran? or listen to people talk about it.

You're still more likely to die from choking on your food than in a terrorist attack.

Try not to panic, dipshits.

You're correct, but I'm not really seeing any fear here. How to deal with this is a valid point to discuss.

Dishonest framing is dishonest framing.

Can you explain how? Do you believe Obama intended his audience to believe that 100% of the refugees were widows and orphans? If not, do you think it was a rhetorical device that accurately described the demographics of US refugees as overwhelmingly women and small children?

Factcheck.org does not share your evaluation that what he said was a 'blatant lie'. Can you explain why you came to such a different conclusion than they did that doesn't involve unfounded accusations of pro-Obama bias?

I agree. We've been thinking erroneously. Even in Saddam's regime, he had terrorist attacks. He was the epitome of a strong state. We've unleashed them upon us by destroying their previous targets and killing thousands of their people.

I'm not so sure anyone knows what to do about it. What is sad is that there are millions and millions of muslims that want to be free and simply live their lives in peace, but embedded within them are radicals and sadists that turn their motivations for power into an ideology and recruit the ignorant and oppressed.

I'd like to think we can decouple the cult minority from the vast majority of law-abiding middle easterners, but that has not even come close to happening yet.

It would be nice if we could just leave them alone. Unfortunately they're always going to find something to want to kill us for. Pre 9/11 it was us having a few bases in SA. If it wasn't that it would be something else.

Maybe at the core it's jealousy of our affluence, or maybe it's religious. Who cares? The goal should be to reduce the number of innocents killed. What will accomplish that goal? It's clearly not the nice approach as we've seen in France and Belgium.

At this point, I imagine it has become a path to Heaven to many, similar to the Vikings wanting to die in battle to reach Valhalla.

The Virgins thing and all, etc.

It's that brainwashing/indoctrination of young and impressionable/idealistic minds that has been going on since almost forever.

It's hard to change the way someone who has been hardwired to believe a certain concept from birth into other ways of seeing the world in general.

So what is your "strong" approach and how is it different from what we've done before?
