Exporting Bookmarks from 2012 Nexus 7

I seem to find myself saving bookmarks on a regular basis when I'm on the Nexus 7 (2012), but have a difficult time re-finding them when I go and get on a PC. I cannot figure out how to get them from N7-->PC.

I'm using Chrome on all devices, but this seems a bit segregated. And no, I don't want to root the N7. Anyone know how to do this?

Yep, sign into Chrome, it'll save your bookmarks, and you can export them to anything.

Huh, was a Chrome account created when I setup the Nexus 7 after purchasing it? Its got a configured Gmail account specifically for it, and that Gmail account runs automatically (Notifications alerts me to new email that the N7 already downloaded).

Anyone know if signing into Chrome does anything else like autocreates Google+ (I don't want it), or share information with other Google services or platforms?

There's no Chrome "account" really, all Google services fall under your Google Account.

If you have a Gmail account you already have a Google account and all that encompasses.

You don't have to _use_ it or put (much) data into those parts you don't use though.

Go to your bookmarks folder on chrome on both the tablet and your pc. There's often a separate folder for 'mobile bookmarks' and 'desktop bookmarks'. Make sure you're signed in to your google account in both devices. You can then choose which folder to use, which to save to by default, etc.

OK, I think I figured it out. While I have and use the Chrome browser on my PC I never signed into it. There was an option and I did just that using the account I created during the setup of the Nexus 7.

The strange thing is I went looking for how to sign out of Chrome on the PC and there wasn't an option. It will always tie the Chrome browser on the PC to some account once it has one to leech onto. Blood sucker.

I did find a strange way to sign out, though, and that was launching the Google dashboard, which in the upper right corner was the email addy (account ID) and it allowed me to sign out. The Other Bookmarks are still there in the PC's Chrome browser, but now the color settings icon is amber because I've deprived it of the ability to sync on the PC.

I do still have the Nexus' bookmarks local on the PC, which is what I wanted. I did see a video someone made when Google said you have to delete a user, but that isn't specific to the PC's Chrome browser only, or if it would delete the user from all of Google.

I thought logging off out of any Google service (gmail, youtube, etc,.) automatically logs you out of Chrome?

This is not true. It's in the same place where you connect your account to Chrome. Go to settings and it's the first option you see on your screen. There's a disconnect your google account right there.

I did see this Disconnect, but there was no explanation as to what that really meant. I didn't want to accidentally Disconnect the existence of the account itself. And I surely wasn't going to test it blindly. Maybe Google should consider changing it to Sign-Off.

The elipse (...) on the box means its going to open a box to confirm. That box may have more information on what exactly the button means.
