for old people maybe but not too many will care about their roots. The name is bad and its typical AMD I think. Tacky shroud design, bad name.
It could be bad because people who rage online are called salty etc. The name also does not signify strength, speed or anything like that. Just anger and red.
furies aren't good

Being associated with rage/fury could backfire when they criticize nvidia. They'd just be ragers or salty (pretty easy to be called a rager online if u just disagree). etc .etc...
Fiji XT is better if they could use it. Ares wasn't bad and those gods in mythology beat the titans.
not smart to be going for bad now.
You havent paid much attention if thats the only non rendered picture you have seen
I Think Fiji was better than Fury. Titan? Get Fiji. I don't feel the connection between Titan and Fury though.
I would like it if they called it ATi Radeon 9700 HBM to bring back those memories. Always hated the AMD moniker.
Fiji is the name of the chip, though.
I don't think it was ever going to be the name of the card.
Although it doesn't sound like a bad idea to use the chip names and say you have an AMD Tonga card instead of saying you have an R9-285.
Would have preferred something like AMD Kraken for some hard consonants + tie in the AIO water cooling aspect. If they really wanted to phone it in, they could have even gone with AMD Triton...
Titan is evocative of something big; AMD Fury is almost too close to furry (I guess I only have myself to blame for that) and sounds like something I would have thought was cool when I was 13.
Well, its not like my 7950 was planning on going anywhere until Pascal/Arctic Islands anyway.

NZXT already calls their AIO GPU bracket the Kraken, and it is specified as a trademarked name. AMD couldn't use it for that reason.
