Use the 20% coupon to save 45% while these prices last. Just click the link of the New Years deals to view the Product numbers and enter them at the site.

You can also get 20% off there Clearance items too: http://www.monoprice.com/home/promo.asp?pn=clearance_closeout

Here are some cool items to use the INCENTIVE coupon for 20% off:

Wii HDMI adapter: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11404&cs_id=1140401&p_id=9742&seq=1&format=2 (While this won't make it true 1080P it will upconvert it like you can with DVDs. So it looks sharper. It will also take 480i games and convert them to progressive too. Monoprice failed to mention it but there is a small pin hole button that with a paperclip will change it from 720P to 1080P with the Wii on. It will add some junk to the Wiis trunk so use a light HDMI cable.) ($21.12 after 20%) I got the Wii HDMI adapter which does make games look sharper even older NES games.

These 5.1 speakers are a clone of the Energy Take Classic 5.1s(that usually retail for $400): http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10906&cs_id=1090601&p_id=9774&seq=1&format=2 $198.96 (after 20% off)

If you want 5.1 surround for a small room: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10909&cs_id=1090901&p_id=8247&seq=1&format=2 $63.92 (after 20% off)

Cherry MX Black Keyboard http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11401&cs_id=1140102&p_id=9180&seq=1&format=2 I decided to give a Mechanical Keyboard a whirl so I got the from the new years sale which feels great for gaming and typing. Some say the Cherry MX Blacks can cause hand fatigue. I haven't had that issue. You don't have to bottom out the key presses as it's quick to register key presses just by light taps so it's not as audible as some of other switch types. It comes with 4 orange keys if you like to have special WASD keys. It also has Anti-Ghosting, 64 key roll over and so forth. Awesome deal at $56.70 after 45% off.

7.1 Dolby Headset http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11403&cs_id=1140304&p_id=9771&seq=1&format=2 for $59.05 after 45% off. I also got from the new years sale is a solid Headset comes with tons of different connections for about any setup. Except a mini toslink adapter if you need that Monorprice sells those too if you need to add one to your order. If you are looking for a Dolby headset this is worth a whirl. Two things should be known if you decide to use the AMP on PC it will produce a light hiss this is only noticeable in dead silence though and you most likely won't notice while audio is playing through the Headphones. Also with the Amp on if you set the MIC to MVC (let's you hear yourself over the Mic. It has 3 settings Mic on, Mute and MVC) the headset will make a loud pop sound even if turned down all the way again only with the Amp on and MVC is so you can hear yourself just turn the amp off if you need to do a mic test it won't make the pop sound with the Amp off if needing to switch to MVC.

Using the Amp is really a taste preference in my opinion. PC gamers I'd consider maybe a USB sound card with an amp built in and maybe that offers Dolby Digital Live encoding as well.(The built in Amp works well too. Just for PC gaming Dolby Digital Live may produce the best audio experience & many also come with Headphone amps that may add even more than the Headsets built in.) Overall it's pretty solid for PC and Console gamers. Can't beat the sale price either!

When not on sale at regular price this Headset competes with the Sony Pulse Headset which is wireless. I'd say this is still the better deal as wireless usually has to compress the audio to some degree but you'd have to compare both and decide. Plus this comes with all the connections for all your gaming platforms too.

Still running this Headset through the paces. Mic has Auto Gain Control you can turn on in the Windows settings. Unknown on Mac. You can adjust the Headset volume and it has a separate Voice volume for other players. You can use it through USB on PC but have to keep the AMP on and Windows speaker settings can only be set to Stereo and does not accept Dolby Digital.

So you want to use it through Optical connection for Dolby Digital and Analog for virtual surround so you can set the Windows Speaker settings to 5.1 or 7.1 depending on the game so the headset can virtualize it. (Or a sound card that offers Dolby Digital Live encoder to send the audio as Dolby Digital for Optical audio.) It has a switch on the box to select Optical or Analog.

Consoles usually offer Dolby Digital (Optical) or Pro-Logic II (Analog or Optical).

only thing I've gotten from them that I haven't loved is a cheap pair of earbuds and an ipod cable. everything else has been either above average or great.

If you want 5.1 surround for a small room. The 8247s in the New Year sales is $63.92 after 20% coupon is applied: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10909&cs_id=1090901&p_id=8247&seq=1&format=2

Yeah that's pretty much with any Store though. Not everything is going to be the gold but at least they seem to have more good stuff that does outweighs the few lame.

Thanks for posting this. I love Monoprice. The 5-into-1 HDMI switch I got from them is amazing, as are the five HDMI cables plugged into it that I got for about $2/each.

Cool, cool. Hopefully you score some more cool stuff at 20 or 45% off.

I got the gaming mouse for $15.84 (see link above in earlier post from someone else).

It's nice, but I'm new to gaming mice and have used a trackball for the last decade+, so I have no idea what I'm doing. I suck a using a mouse, can't play games and seems like I'm drunk.

I own that one too. I got on a sale awhile ago. The first I got had a defective left click but was replaced with no hassle. The second has been rock solid. I never bothered installing the software so I can't comment on it.

The + and - buttons adjust the DPI settings. In say an FPS you'd want it set high for high powered guns and set low when using a scope for sniping or getting precise head shots in. Make sure to crank the sensitivity up all the way in the Windows Mouse settings and keep Enhance pointer precision off as that is smoothing and you don't want that. Also keep the sensitivity up all the way in games or down all the way depending on the game and make sure smoothing off and select raw input if an option. Some games will have a zoom sensitivity for scopes keep that low.

I use the red button for reloading and the button above it for voice chatting. I keep all the weights in. Feels solid to me. It will take some adjusting but you should get use to it.

I use this Mousepad which makes it glide. It's smooth a bit large but solid: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11401&cs_id=1140105&p_id=9279&seq=1&format=2

Unless they extend it again but I wouldn't hold my breath.

They will do more sales and coupon deals though. Pretty sure you'll be able to snag it for $312 and maybe even lower. Just keep your eyes peeled.
