Hello all,
I'm trying to set up my linux PVR to use an external HD so I can transfer the files easily to my mac for burning onto DVD. I want to set it up so that the directory where the video is stored is linked to the external drive when I have it plugged in and when it's not plugged in the video is written somewhere on the /home partition. Then when I plug the drive back in the video that was written while the drive was unplugged should be copied to the external drive and the PVR prog, mythTV, should begin writing all new data to the external drive again. Can I do this with a shell script? Anyone out there know where I can find a script that achieves this or a similar goal?
