Hmm. It'sjust a guess but if a flu shot uses the weakened virus, couldn't a double shot possibly cause the flu?

You won't piss the flu shot out. The flu shot won't cause the flu. It may cause flu like symptoms, and that's more likely if you get the shot a second time.

Yea it's a simple choice for me.

I can get the shot and feel like shit for a week.

Or

I can not get the shot, and maybe if I'm unlucky, I'll get the flu and feel like shit for a week.

At which point, you spread it to everyone you work with before you even have symptoms. Sounds like a such a nobrainer.

It should be, because if they cared about getting it, they would of gotten the shot themselves and thus be protected? If they didn't get the shot, then they are ok with the same risk I am taking.

Besides, I have had the shot for 4 years in a row, and got horrible illness anyways during the winter each year. So obviously that wasn't the flu. So based on that, I have never in my life had the flu. Or the flu shot just doesn't work.

False dilemma.

The flu shot has a failure rate. It varies from year to year, but typically the protection rate is 70-90%, but lower in the elderly and very young. So you can get the shot and still get disease, but it's much less likely.

They give two flu shots about 1 month apart to babies. My 7mo goes back for his second one in a week.

The only benefit for 3+ flu shots that I can think of is super human strength so if you're into that go for it.

So I'll revise.

I can get the flu shot and be sick with flu like for a week. Then possibly get the flu anyways and be sick for a week.

Or

I can not get the flu shot, and run the risk of possibly getting the flu and being sick for a week.

I still like option 2.

But that's a false premise. The flu shot does not cause flu

The nasal spray can and does cause the flu, its a live virus after all. When the USAF forced us to get the flu shot, most of the base would inevitably get the flu after receiving the nasal spray.

The people I know that get sick the most often are also the ones that are always first in line for taking meds, pain killers, going to the doctor, shots etc...

I hardly ever take pills and when I do I never feel anything from them, haven't been to a doctor in years and (gasp!) don't always wash my hands after taking a piss. Dad and a few others i know are the same way (don't know about the bathroom however) and get sick with a 2 day cold oh... once a year.

I'm not saying it has anything to do with 'manliness', perhaps all this crap isn't as great for you as doctors say?

Or I guess we are just lucky and could drop dead or catch ebola at any moment?

No, it doesn't cause the flu. Do you have any proof of this? This stuff has been tested in double blind studies numerous times. It does NOT cause the flu.

The shot isn't even the virus, just viral proteins...

I got the shot 4 weeks ago and no side effects other than a few hours of minor soreness in my arm. The flu sucks and never want it again.
