Extra Garage Door Opener/Remote

So I need a second garage door opener for my house. I used to have a car that had one built-in so I was able to program in but I have since sold it. Are there 3rd party brands that sell this or do I have to buy the manufacturer's remote? I'm googling this as we speak but just needed some input. Maybe they sell the whole rearview mirror set.

You can get them at walmart for about $20 iirc, altho I've bought a couple at Fry's for about $6 before.

If it's a liftmaster, you can get them on amazon through 3rd party vendors. I pick them up for like 15 bucks.

No. That's what the homelink stuff is for. You can get "universal" remotes for door openers.
