Extremely localized Hot Deal in Independence, MO CompUSA.

There were several good hardware deals left in the CompUSA in Independence, MO near HWY 40 and 291. One of the most notable deals was a BBATI X1900XTX retail box for $280+tax. They're giving bigger discounts as the closing date draws closer and the $280+tax figure was for 30% off of $399.99 original price. They may mark them down more in the coming weeks and there were still about 10 cards available.

Damn, I grew up in Raytown but I now live in MS.

I'm suprised it's going OOB. I thought everything in that area was doing well.

It's argueably in a crappy location now, as it's surrounded by heavy traffic coming into and out of Lowe's and Costco. Not to mention that you can't really see it from 291 anymore and it's tucked away from any main road. I think the final nail in the coffin was that Best Buy moved their 40 HWY location to the Independence Mall area, so there is a lot more competition in that area now. It sucks for me because we only have one more CompUSA and it's in Overland Park (I live in Lees Summit), but at least I can have an excuse to stop by Microcenter if I "need" to go by CompUSA now .

Well, I haven't lived there since '92, although I do go back to visit family every summer. I'll have to check that out when I go back.

About at Metcalf and 85th street or so is where the Microcenter is.
