I talked to my local store today, they think they will have it in stock tomorrow. I am thinking about nabbing a copy of that.

Anyone snag a copy already? I know it said its suppose to come out today.

I'm curious to see how this game actually plays, the reviews look positive, I could get into it, but I could not.

im gonna get it just cus its weird for a console. i do play magic sometimes and hopefully the game mechanics are strong enough not to be overshadowed by my previous card game experiences.

i used to play when i was younger for a long time and we loved it. Then everyone kind of just stopped playing... i am hoping this game has enough depth to keep it interesting. i will be buying it right as itcomes out for sure.

No, not yet, gonna stop on the way home, i called one gamestop and they still didn't get it...kind of odd....i'll try a walmart, target and a second gamestop on the way home...if i take another route, i can hit another gamestop as well...i'll give the report when i get back

IIt really doesn't matter. Considering that you still have to follow all the rules, and also, it would be kind of easy to tell in multiplayer if the card is fake. Well, not easy, but enough.

It would be awesome if the camera was in HD though. Of course, that would make it real expensive. But then again, they could have just stuck in lenses from their HD Camcorders.

Ok so I got a copy of it last night at a gamestop, totally randum too, I called, they said, "well we have one copy" , I passed three gamestops on the way home so I figured one had to have it. And NO I will not put money on a preorder because if yoru store gets it late..then I am SOL for over a week!

And so my judgement is this game is for someone who likes card games, no joke, this looks to be a great game, not just average, but you really have to enjoy card games like this or at least willing to learn. The tutorial is really good (low def video though...wtf?) But the game graphics are very good, well done. Great sound, the music is this crazy rock ballad thing, but is good. Online play, you dont see the other guys game board at all, so you can't see "copies or dupes" BUT you do have to register and confirm your deck, and there are restrictions of HOW many of each card can be used. So basically, you contruct a good deck and play, no cheating. The game also tells you what your next card is so no cheating on your hand. AND if you have more than one card in a deck, when registering, you MUST have all cards present to prove you have more than one. It sound tedious, but is EXTREMELY fast, you literally just place 4 cards down at a time to register instantly.
It is important to do the tutorial because it explains how you rotate your cards, attack befor summoning your last part of the turn, etc. Rules that make the game more than just a glorified tic tac toe.

I got a good solid couple hours in, and plan on playing a bit over the weekend. I'll look into the card copying thing too, because everyone who DIDNT want the game was discouraged that they felt they MUST buy 100s of cards to be "good". Copying is cheating wizards out of sales, so I don't support it, but you'd think they would have some sort of barcode to make each card unique??

Any questions or people who are on the fence to buy it? I plan on trying to introduce new players to this game for sure.

I dont have a PS3, but if I did, I would have picked up this game. I like CCGs, and this game seemed like a really cool concept. Too bad the revelation of copyable cards completely destroys the game though. One of the big things when I was playing Magic was to go out and assure you had the proper cards. Not everyone could have Black Lotus or Timewalk... so when they pulled them out it was just cool. It probably wont be long till someone find out how to make their own cards (not just copy).

I was pretty excited about this game, but I was really concerned about card copying. Now that its confirmed that you can copy cards I probably wont get this game. With card copying you are now going to have sites that post the most popular/effective decks and the cards to printout. I wish they did a thing where every card had a unique serial number that you registered online so that you can't use 2 a copy of the same cards and if you wanted to trade you had to transfer that card online to whomever you traded with along with the physical card.

yeah i wish it had that too, like a barcode found on the package or something to "activate" those cards for you.
The only thing with DLing the cards...the cost of ink, time to print and cut out...its not worth it to me. I will be interested to see if people opt for copying the cards..
i hope not because it woudl make for some really craptastic, if any, updates and contined sales. i really, REALLY like this game so far.

I just watched the gametrailers.com video review, and this looks pretty neat. I've never gotten into card games (I may have briefly dabbled in Magic back when my brother played), but this could do it. I may pick this up in a few months when the price comes down on it.

It doesn't really look gimmicky, looks like it could be some actual fun.
